Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think FiveThous misspoke. I think he meant to say that Kyrie is someone whom you rebuild with but not around. This is something I agree with as well. I don't think his offensive output offsets what he's giving up defensively. He's not a superstar player to me.

Great player nonetheless.

I think he is a nice player, but definitely not a superstar or even a star..It's all hype based on his flashy play and Uncle Drew commercials...the reason I want to trade Kyrie is because he is gonna get paid a max contract but he is not a max player. PG is the most irrelevant position in the NBA, especially if you can't pass the ball that well. PGs don't impact defense, rebounding well, and because of size limitations it's not like they can ever score like Durant or Lebron. They are complementary scorers- if they try to shoot a lot their efficiency plummets. Kyrie doesn't get teammates involved either on top of that. He is not a passer and he is injury prone.

PGs don't win you titles. CP3 is the best PG in the NBA and one of the best of all time and in his 6 years in NO he missed the playoffs 3 times, got eliminated from the first round twice and made it past the first round once and that team that went past the first round had a very good front court in Tyson Chander, David West, Birdman.

I have a feeling Kyrie is gonna leave anyways so trade him for a nice pick or nice player while you can. PGs simply don't impact the game the way top big men do. This is why it's 3 years 3 lottery picks under Irving. If Kyrie were to get resigned to a reasonable contract that would be fine, but he is gonna get paid like he is Durant. He is not a max player and never will be. I know I will probably get blasted for this post.

Well in the 2009 playoffs they lost in 5 to Denver. It was in the 2011 playoffs they lost to the Lakers- LA didn't win the title that year. They got swept in the 2nd round. Also Cp3 missed the playoffs 3/6 years...and he had talent around him. Look at how dominant the front court of Hibbert/West along with Paul George has made Indy.....yet NO with Chandler/West along with prime CP3 can't do better than 2 first round losses, 1 2nd round loss, and 3 missed playoffs in 6 years? And Irving will never become as good as CP3. Chandler/West is even better than Hibbert/West.

Tying up max money in a PG is a disaster.

chandler hasnt reallly done much... he did play a huge part in winning that champ, but other than that, nothing that great.

West is the third best player on that team
indy is fin stacked and they havent done anything cp2 hasnt.

i get what you are saying, and I hear it alot. But i think everyplayer and team is different. If you best player is pg then you just need him to score when need and have good team mates he can set up. so far kyrie doesnt have another guy on this team that can handle the scoring load. -----
but i dont wanna debate anymore in this thread

Chandler is no HOF center, but he is a good center. He used to be better than Hibbert. Aside from when he faces Miami, Hibbert is pretty average aside from defense. He has never even reached 9 rpb or 50% shooting ever in his career. Indy was one game away from playing in the finals and will reach the ECF again at min. No missed playoffs either. Kyrie is more of a undersized SG. The team really isn't any worse without Kyrie than with Kyrie on the floor. But yeah I guess the debate is better suited for the Kyrie thread.

Earl Clark, Henry Sims, Delly, Andrew Bynum, Kevin Jones, Jeremey Pargo, Jon Leuer, Samardo Samuels, Luke Harongody, D'Andrey Brown, Kelenna Azubukie, Michael Eric, CJ Miles, Manny Harris, Alonzo Gee, Lester Hudson, Ben Uzoh, Mychael THompson, Kenny Hayes, Terrell Biggs, Kyle Goldcamp, and JP Prince.

Christian Eyenga ? the greatest leaper ?

Fuck waiting on/for Lebron.... fuck it with a rust covered philips head in the urethra.

MOVE ON PEOPLE.

MOVE ON DAN.

Also fuck Kyrie for being a wishy-washy bitch about being here and all this shit that gets leaked. Lebron didn' t have any trouble with his "brand" here. The only thing moving to a bigger city is going to get you is a lot more invasion in your privacy. Ask Melo how he likes it.... his "brand" sucks dick in NYC.

Knicks are fucked because of their owner. Nets are fucked because of their owner. Clippers have Paul and Lakers have to deal with Kobe's ridiculous monster deal. I don't think the Bulls are ready to move on from Rose. HEY KYRIE AND YOUR FUCKING NANCY BOY "PEOPLE" YOU FUCKING PIECES OF SHIT WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING DIPSHIT!?!?!?!?

And more money...

I'm starting to dislike Kyrie too though. These reports aren't coming from nowhere.

More money in what way? As far as his contract goes we can pay him more than anyone.

Endorsement deals which would come from gaining more exposure in a big market. I remember Deron Williams said something along those lines when he got traded to the Nets.

Kyrie hasn't had any trouble finding huge national endorsement deals despite playing for a Cleveland team that has yet to win more than 30 games with him on the roster. LeBron never had any trouble either. What really matters when it comes to endorsement deals is whether or not you have an entertaining personality (both LeBron and Kyrie can act well enough to make fun commercials) and how marketable your game is (LeBron had highlight dunks and ridiculous passes, Kyrie has amazing handles and back-breaking lay-ups), not what market you play in or how good your team is.

We aren't making the playoffs. And we aren't getting LeBron because of it.

I know there is supposed to be anger in a rant, but thats just all depression. Dang.

I stand corrected.

I wouldn't say that yet since the east still hasn't gotten any better. Washington lost NeNe, ATL is losing, and if Gibson or Noah gets hurt Chicago is going down hill. So when Dion gets back hopefully they can go on a streak. I feel like the games the team lost could had been won with a healthy Dion still around.
