Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Breakfast of Champions, Vonnegut...

The Name of the Wind by Mark Rothfuss

I recently started reading this and am quite hooked. It's the first book of a 3 part series known as the Kingkiller Chronicles.

Finished book 1 while on vacation, book 2 will be here Monday.

The first half was a little slow as he's recounting his younger years in life. The last half really picks up. If you like fantasy I'd recommend this.

I can greatly recommend the gentlemen bastard series by Scott Lynch. It's an absolutely wonderful fantasy series following some sort of medieval Danny Ocean set in a world that's like the westeros by way of 16th century europe. It's very well written and the characters are absolutely wonderful.

Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain was really good. The Alchemist was a good and quick read. Zen & The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance was okay.

I'm reading the Martian right now and it's funny.

Just cracked open "Short Selling - Strategies, Risks, and Rewards"... I know you @FiveThous were looking for personal development, so not sure it fits... I have posted the market related books before but just in case you didn't see that, fun excellent reads are Market Wizards and Reminiscences of a Stock Operator.

Just read The Lions of Al-Rassan, a historical fiction book about the Muslims/Christians/Jews living in the dying days of the Andalusian Moors. Brilliant novel, the prose is masterful.

sapiens
the upside of stress
the everything store
the new elon musk book
gang leader for a day

currently reading the rockefeller biography 'titan' and it's great. really long though. i think up next is between the world and me by coates.

As an adult male, I can comfortably confront my childish side and recommend the Maze Runner Trilogy. I saw part of the first movie, hated it, and turned it off. But one of my good (albeit female) friends recommended it and I gave it a shot. I've read the first two books in under one week. Absolutely great. Suspenseful with surprising turns every corner.

All of this coming from a guy who loves non-fiction and reads it for a living, and barely reads fiction except for the good stuff, this is the good stuff.

Planet of war series.. The prince of sandrid and legend of mars

I've covered this in the ASoIaF thread, but if you like stuff like Game of Thrones, read Joe Abercrombie's First Law trilogy (and the three follow-up books). He's probably the best fantasy author writing right now aside from Martin. Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson is a pretty good trilogy too. Also anything by Daniel Abraham.
