He's the kind of player you can't trade. He's the whole reason you get lottery picks. Even with a #1 pick the odds are against getting someone like him. NBA competitiveness is all about getting a true all-NBA franchise player and missing out on the rare opportunity to get one affects the whole history of a franchise.

Trae is under appreciated because his shooting isn't as good as advertised and he plays poor defense, but as a 19 year old rookie, his actual pg skills and play making skills have been very good.

His shooting has started to improve quite a bit after a miserable start too.

He's very good offensively. Bad defensively, but he's going to be an excellent PG.

I didn't like him out of college, but I undervalued his actual pg skills. King of a steve nash type from what I can see, maybe not quite that good, but really similar. Horrible defense, good pg skills, and should be a good shooter.
