Mass Effect 3

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Let's just say I have some huge complaints about the ending(s) to this game, but Bioware has something up their sleeves, I can tell.

The journey was absolutely stunning though. Don't want to spoiler, but...the part where the track "I'm Sorry" plays...probably the most powerful scene in a game I ever saw.

Yeah, beat it last night. The ending had some big plotholes, but man the lead up to the ending was spectacular. Easily one of my favorite games of all time

What do you think about not having an ending where

the Reapers win, and also the lack of an ending on the other extreme end of the spectrum? ie everything is good, mass relays intact, Reapers destroyed, sacrifices but...we can rebuild, etc.

I thought it's pretty lame all we got were a handful of middling endings.

I still think Bioware is up to something. They refuse to comment on it yet.

Cm you're fuckin kidding me right? Explaination in white

Man I tried both options (I had to kill him the first time so I backtracked) and both made me kill him. It wouldn't let me choose the two options on the left for whatever reason. I really wanted to save his ass lol.

Yeah bro, you just have to have a high enough reputation. It opens up the Paragon/Renegade dialogue options. WHITE: (fucking annoying)

It's sabotaged, but at least he lives. Again, Wrex will have to die then though. Mordin becomes a war asset and helps with the Crucible..

Ah man I wish that I had a high enough reputation to do that. I'm pretty far past it now though, maybe on my second playthrough i'll get my rep higher/

Hated the endings so bad and this is coming from one the of the biggest ME fans around.

cm in white: I don't hate the endings as much as a lot of other people did. I think they were way too brief in their explanations, and that's what led to all the plotholes, but honestly I'd hate if there was a really good ending. The whole 3rd game was a desperate all out struggle just to survive, and you saw that in all those people that you knew dying. Mordin, Thane, even minor characters like Kal Reegar. I'd have been pissed off if there was an ending where the reapers were destroyed and everyone lived happily ever after, because the whole message of the game was that this was a war that everyone will be affected by.

In white, ending spoilers:

The justification for the Reapers was just fucking retarded. Their purpose was to stop synthetics for destroying organics? Thats what the fuck they were doing. "The created will always rebel against the creators" --I had the geth cooperating with me to stop you motherfuckers!! Made no sense to me and kinda pissed me off. I liked the whole Citadel super AI thing though. The Journey was unbelievable though.

Hmm... white:

Can't say I agree. If you're going to have different endings, you should at least have one where galactic civilization remains intact. Have Shepard, Anderson, and whoever else die, and all the races decimated, but...have the relays intact. That should be an option. They got the idea of "war requires sacrifice" and shit across during the whole fucking game. Having us actually get a meaningful victory instead of setting civilization back thousands and thousands of years should be doable.

Even if you wouldn't like an ending like that to be open, Bioware said there was an ending where the Reapers win. AND THERE ISN'T! Stupid.

white: actually, i think there is an ending like that. you just have to go into the final battle with low readiness and galactic forces, and I think shepard won't even make the citadel. he'll get killed along the way I think

The ending is just terrible writing. A total dues ex machina ending. spoilers

Some Godchild just uses space magic and destroys all reapers/blends them with organics/allows shepard to gain control of them. He just gave Shepard a speech saying how destroying them would be wrong because future synthetics would wipe out organics. But he lest you do it anyway? And why was my crew flying away from the battle? Joker would never leave Shep behind, neither would Liara or Garrus. Just completely stupid.

I guess you didn't get why people were typing in white?

The endings were rather unfulfilling... although I've heard rumors that Bioware is just done with this story arc, but not Mass Effect as a series.
