Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's ironic because it doesn't fit his personality at all and, therefore, funny.

Let Delly get the minutes in the next game. I'd rather see us lose with someone with all heart and busting his ass than a "Woes Me" Kyrie who doesn't give a shit anymore leading the rest of his team in his poor ass attitude. I really don't want to see Kyrie play the next game. Play someone who wants to compete every night. That guy is Delly.

I honestly feel bad for how poorly we're paying him. $490,180 this season. $816,482 next season. Karasev got paid more this year alone than Delly does over two years, and he has been D-league bound the whole year. What's worse is that Bynum walked away with $6m for doing jack shit. I guess that's the price for going under the radar.

Lol, yeah. Right.

He should be grateful. We took a chance on him by keeping him going into the season. He had a very underwhelming summer league and was outplayed by a couple guys we cut simply due to numbers. The move more than paid off but he has simply repaid a favor the Cavs FO granted him. Nothing from summer league play suggested he could be a valuable rotation piece yet we looked past that and still gave him a roster spot.

He'll get his due though in time. Much deserved also.

I'm not saying we should have offered him more. You're absolutely right in that he was a risk although I think the coaches knew more about him than what we saw from summer league that led to him being chosen over other guys who seemingly outperformed him. I'm just saying that he is certainly outperforming what he is being paid right now. He actually deserves Alonzo Gee salary, IMO.

I'm sure he is grateful, I suspect that his effort is simply part of who he is and what he is being paid to do - which makes us look at the others and say 'why ain't you doing what you get paid for?'. The potential downside to the above is that some may think that this gratefulness should last seasons ... he was given an opportunity and responded. He's repaid the FO and should be rewarded for his efforts and value to the team and organisation ... same goes for the rest. Perhaps there should be a base salary and a bonus system?

The reason no one would give him a new contract now is CARLOS BOOZER. He thought he was worth more money and then betrayed the Cavs and took the bigger payday after he tricked them into giving him a bigger contract than the one they already had him on. Once you rip up that contract the guy is a UFA.

Well Delly is a bargain. I hope the cavs keep him, but you can imagine that loyalty will be tested it someone offers a million a year more, and at that price he is still cheap for the effect he has had on games.

Probably a good thing the cavs didn't make the play offs. Don't need Delly pushing Indiana or Miami 7 games, and having a 'summer of me' on our hands with dellavedova demanding his contract be torn up.

Sarcasm? Don't take it personally, but I can never tell for sure with you...

It would be hilarious if he demanded a trade this summer. He has every right to do so too, with how his teammates have frequently failed to match his level of effort on the court.

So what will the Cavs do after they stop laughing at that demand?

You are a very talented troll Oasis. Bravo.

Delly pushing Miami or Indiana to 7 games and then Delly having a "summer of me" where he demands his contract be torn up and void :chuckles:

It just get better and better lol. "Thanks" for the laugh

Delly finished 11th on ESPN's ROY voting. It's good to see that at least a few people outside of Cleveland are noticing his talent.
