Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Delly wasnt taking shots that interrupted the game he just had a bad shooting night it happens

Problem delly had was he rushed his shots. When he looks at tape and sees how open he was he should be able to slow down. Some of his shots were being taken before he even caught the ball. He needs to be able to hit 35% to keep the defense honest and for LeBron to pass him the ball

By the same token, he basically blew I think four completely wide open threes in the second half alone. Dude isn't an NBA level shooter in my opinion. He's slow too and makes bad decisions. I think we'd be better off without him. But, I'm no expert.

Ive thought that for a while now. We didn't lose a game I don't think while he was hurt. If anything he just cuts into a guy like Marion's PT who is more effective.

edit - I do think you need him out there for a few minutes when Irving goes to the bench. It will allow Waiters to play off gaurd

At this point with Andy out, Delly is one of the very few remaining players left on this team that's going to provide you that grit and grind night in, night out.

Okay, he missed a lot of good shots tonight & I understand Blatt's thinking but this one might fall more on him than on Delly. When Delly's locking down a player like Beal in the 4th, drawing offensive fouls and playing shutdown defense that's instigating your offense on each play, you leave him out there to keep momentum.

Last night against the Magic, he was having a tough time doing anything at all - that's not to say he's 'not an NBA-caliber player' as some have crudely suggested but was just really struggling on a part of his game that could use some fine tuning. If I'm not mistaken, I remember a plethora of games last season and early this season where Delly's intensity and teamwork played a key role in a number of wins - that's the kind of guy I want to see on the team.

But in a game like last night when the court was opening up for distance shooters, inserting a guy like James Jones (who's ineptitude on the defensive end you gamble with) to knock down 2 or 3 shots could've rapidly tilted the game in our favor.

The great thing about the NBA is that Delly can bounce back pretty easily next game - and with Kyrie back I'm expecting him to do so. Delly's is a role player and a locker room guy and I expect him to continue shining once he's back playing in the confines of that particular role.

Delly is looking pretty damn bad right now, missed passes, bad defense and a bunch of bricks. Its gotten to the point where you can expect a turnover if he's passing inside the painted area.

Delly is a scrub. no need to sugar coat it

Ignoring the 60 or so games he has played exceptionally well seems like a mistake.

I do think he is in a slump. He had a few shooting slumps in college as well. Being away from the practice floor for a month or so didn't help him this season. Hopefully he can shake it off and get back in the flow.

I don't think it's his shooting as much altough making one more wide open three would help any team. It has been his poor judgement on a bunch of oasses since coming back from that food poisoning incident. He's also not been as effective defensively. I've seen what he can do and how much he gives on court but I have this uneasy feeling seeing our bench of old guys and guys who are full of want and effort and desire but wanting in talent. I hold he picks it up.

He has been down right awful every time he steps on the court.

After tonight's game, I just hope Blatt and everyone sees that Delly D has always been overrated. The Hawks were going at him every time. The worst, we were making a run late in the 4th, he got subbed in, and right away, gave up an open layup. I am not even going to bother talking about his O limitation. Everyone should already know by now. He should only be getting the few mins while Kyrie is resting. Nothing more, and definitely, not starting, even due to injuries.

We don't have a healthy center in the rotation. We were also without our two best defensive forwards. It changes the defensive effectiveness for everyone. That said, not Delly's best game tonight against one of the best teams in the East.

The whole team has had duds, and fairly often, this year. All in all Delly has struggled some over the last few games, but not so much that it's maddening IMO.

But.... That awful pass late in the fourth to Teague... Delly, bruh. That was pretty coffin-naily

Dude is scrubbing it up lately. Hes a Cav so all I can do is hope for progress.

But damn this team in a whole is hard to watch if you're a long time fan.

Compared to the talented squads weve fielded before, its really hard to watch a team with these players fail so hard
