Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah Delly has had a very rough few weeks. Getting roasted and defense and providing nothing on offense.

Hopefully Harris gets more PT after last night.

I think we could point to groups of games where most of the squad has had a bad run, expecting more of Delly is a bit tough, however we'll always get the 'chicken little' reaction from some watchers of the game.

He's fine for the role he was meant for. People get caught up in what he does game to game. He's not meant to play 30 minutes a night and start, but right now he's about the only option. When he's playing 15-20 minutes a night next to better players his value is easier to see.

thing is Blatt needs know that he has other young players on the team. Delly should get no more then 10 mins and Dion should be getting all those mins. No reason for Dion not to be playing 40mins with the injuries to the team and Harris needs more mins. Harris is more athletic then I thought he was. Delly is not athletic at all.

We don't have a healthy center in the rotation. We were also without our two best defensive forwards. It changes the defensive effectiveness for everyone. That said, not Delly's best game tonight against one of the best teams in the East.

This. Delly used to pressure the hell out of the ball. Now he gives the defender too much space and hopes not to get beat of the dribble. Not a good way to play 1-on-1 defense. I'm not sure why this changed. Maybe because he has no help. Kyrie and Dion are playing defense more like the Delly of last year.

Delly is being asked to play a role he is not fit for. His role is 4th guard off the bench who comes in plays hard def and smart on offense. He is now be asked to create and play starter mins.

He is certainly being asked to fill a role he is not completely ready for at the moment. The question to ask is not why is he performing at X level, but why are the coaching staff asking Delly to do it over others on the team that many feel have more physical ability?

His career trajectory is going to be dependent on if he can hit the open 3's. He's a smart basketball player who can an offense, not get in the way, good motor, and full effort on D. His athleticism limits him to a roleplayer but if he wants to see regular time in the NBA as a bench guy he has to be able to hit the open 3 which he has not been able to do on a consistent basis at all this year

Lost in the depressingly sobering realization that our roster is completely flawed (even with Lebron) was the fact that Delly had a pretty stellar game today.

Man, Delly...
He's just not an NBA caliber point guard.

How in God's name do you have MATTHEW DELLAVEDOVA taking all these shots at ends of games? The end of this one might be one of the worse things I've seen. Blatt is losing me.

Hard to believe Love didn't have his hands on the ball those last 3 possessions.

In this game, give it to Love and clear out!!

Delly came up empty all 3 times!?!?!

To the above poster Blatt lost me after this game. And Delly... what a way to let down your team. Shameful

He gives it all but he cost us a much needed game because we are going to be destroyed by Houston and then everyone else on the upcoming trip.

The real question was: what were he and Price doing freeballing and putting up shots? Price, who is worse than anybody, put up 10 shots in 13 minutes.
