Really looking forward to the ESPN 30 for 30 "Moment of Claretty".

The below book excerpt taken from Deadspin is a great read and will be the premise of the television show. http://deadspin.com/5967649/how-mau...source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow

Maybe, but he's becoming the prime example for guys who finally make the most of a second (or fifth) chance.

He served his time and has become a positive role model for those going down the wrong path. His change in mentality of always thinking he was a victim has changed his outlook on life. He is the first person to say that jail saved his life and rehabilitated him. I strongly recommend reading his blog that his girlfriend posted for him while he was in jail.

When you read his blog, it completely changes your opinion of him, IMO. I was shocked and then inspired by it. I had such contempt for this guy for everything he tried to do to Ohio State and then the aggressive crimes he was committing. Just a complete waste of talent. But then it is refreshing to see a guy acknowledge it before it's too late. He's still a young guy and has a bright future in front of him without football.

His story is going to make a helluva movie someday.

    What if I told you...

That an athlete had to become imprisoned to finally feel free....

Title suggests Warren Buffett went to prison. So irresponsible.

I couldn't find the airing date, only that it is part of "30 for 30's Volume II".

It will be in the next several weeks, so I'll post the date once ESPN decides when to place it in their programming.

I know your being sarcastic but the amount of money we earned from playing in the Championship is much more than the money they wasted on his classes.

He may be referring to his time in prison.. Idk. If so, I say a rehabilitated Maurice Clarret is better for everyone than the path he was heading down.

If I thought prison would have the effect on most violent criminals that it did on Clarett, I'd be happy to know my tax money was going towards it. Sadly, that's almost never the case.

Just an update....ESPN at the request of Maurice has changed the overall direction of the episode and will now focus on Clarett's relationship with Jim Tressel. One of Maurice's friends is directing it and it's supposed to be one of the best 30 for 30's made.

Name has been changed to "Youngstown Boys". It is officially airing Decmber 14th after the Heisman trophy presentation. Set your DVR's.
