Mike Malone Fired (replaced by Corbin)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Did Gilbert sleep with your girlfriend or something? Jesus man.
Help me out here; How is pointing out how ironic it is for Cleveland fans to be bashing an organization over faults this current regime has demonstrated pretty recently mean I have some vendetta against Gilbert?

I'm not justifying the actions by either organization; i'm simply pointing out the hypocrisy that is going on here.

Christ, you would think Cleveland fans would have some capacity to relate with Sacramento. Need I bring up the fuckin browns moving? How does that feel?

I feel more for the Seattle fans that already lost their team moreso than the Sacramento fans who also have the best team in the West in Golden State, another legit contender in the Clippers, and one of the most pristine franchises in sports history in the Lakers also in their state.

Seattle deserves a basketball team, and Sacramento is the only logical team to move there.

Don't we have a Kings fan on this board? What are his thoughts?

Should've moved them to Seattle. The Kings are the biggest joke in the NBA.

People were literally saying the same about ours Cavs last year! Our franchise was a fucking joke until LeBron bailed us out again :chuckle:

I don't care what Dan did in the past.

Nothing will ever compare to hearing that the owner made a call to play a 4 on 5 defense so you can cherry pick easy baskets. The basis for his brilliant idea, his son's youth basketball league.

Because 6 year olds vs the top basketball league in the world are the same thing.

You do realize how big California is right? It's a 6 hour drive from Sacramento to LA and a 2 hour drive from Sacramento to the bay area. I lived in Sacramento the first 18 years of my life. From the moment the Kings moved there to the time C-Webb's era came to an end, that place was sold out 99 percent of the time, whether they were terrible or not.

Then the Maloofs came in and did everything within their power to sink the franchise so they could move it. They wanted it in Vegas but the NBA wanted no part of that. The Maloofs tried, numerous times, to relocate. They even tried to force Sacramento out of the equation by making tickets unfairly expensive, despite the terrible product being placed on the floor.

Sacramento is the only logical team to move there? How logical is it for a team that is building a state-of-the-art arena in downtown Sacramento to move to a different city? Someone else will have to move there or expansion will need to happen once more.

The "Look at how many teams are in California" narrative doesn't fly considering how big it is and the distance between cities.

I don't like any of California's sports teams at all. Not a one. That's why I'm indifferent to the Kings moving out of there.

As stated above: Dan Gilbert was passing notes to Paul Silas with what he should do. How is this any different than Vivek floating suggestions no matter how stupid or great they sound?

Because I'm betting Dan's notes didn't include tactical analysis gleamed from a youth basketball league.

what is this supposed to prove, exactly? random guy takes contrarian perspective of a comically stupid argument and ____?

this isn't about "experimenting" or trying to be creative or whatever. it's just a flat out stupid idea, and that's exactly why nobody else dares to even suggest the concept. cherrypicking isn't some sort of super genius innovative plan; if it had any chance of legitimate success it easily would've been tried already.

what is this supposed to prove, exactly? guy takes contrarian perspective of a really stupid argument and ____?
Coach Nick is a pretty respected guy so I thought I would post his thoughts; simple as that.

I respect Coach Nick, but does he really think it's going to change the game?

The idea behind it only works in theory, not in practice. If you can't defend and get stops, you'll never win a basketball game. That's pretty simple. I don't care how many easy baskets you can cherry pick. If the opponent can score just as easily going 5 on 4, they won't stand a chance.
