MLB - Trade Rumors and Speculation

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
^
I wanted in on Kendrys before the season when they didn't look like they had room for all 3 of Albert, Trumbo & Morales. I wouldn't mind, But I certainly wouldn't be offering up a whole heck of a lot.
On the other hand
According to Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com, the Angels are willing to offer outfielder Peter Bourjos for "the right reliever."
Knobler hears the Angels had interest in Matt Capps (shoulder) before he hit the DL and could have interest in Jonathan Broxton. Of course, Bourjos would be quite a price to pay for either reliever, so they are likely aiming higher. With that in mind, Knobler hears that the Angels have had discussions with the Nationals. The Angels are also on the lookout for rotation help and have suggested to teams that Kendrys Morales and Garrett Richards could be available in potential deals.

I would love getting this defensive GEM.

The Angels are making Kendrys Morales available.

They are stuck with Vernon Wells who will command some playing time, so they're pretty much forced into getting rid of Kendrys who has been less than stellar this season.

I personally don't want him, as I think he's Kotchman with a bit more power and less defense. But something to consider.

Morales could be a good DH replacement for Hafner after this year. A switch/power hitting DH would be nice.

Fausto has received a visa and will begin serving a three week suspension, he will be eligible to return to action afterwards.

Hoping he's in game shape.

The 3 week suspension seems like a bit much. He didn't get paid and wasn't allowed in the US for more than half the season. That seems like a large enough suspension to me.

I'd imagine he'll spend most of that three weeks on rehab assignment anyway, so it more or less seems like a show penalty.

White Sox acquired Brett Myers from the Astros.

Ken Rosenthal - The Indians are focused more on going after pitching than hitting. Though they've been rumored to be in on nearly every impact hitter, the team is happy with Johnny Damon's production since June.

Jon Morosi - As the Indians look to bolster their pitching rotation, Francisco Liriano of the Twins is a name to keep an eye on.

Scott Miller - The Twins are looking for pitching in exchange for Francisco Liriano and in any deadline deal.

Jim Bowden - The Royals are trying to convince the Indians or Reds to take Jeff Francoeur so they can promote Wil Myers from Triple-A.

If the Indians realize they aren't making the playoffs and decide to sell, do you trade Choo? He's not resigning here and we'd get a much better haul of players now than we would at the next deadline.

Its the right business move, but can you imagine the backlash?

I'm sure they won't agree with me, but whether you blame ownership or fans - they're last in attendance and TV ratings are down 24%. Might be time to take the PR hit and hope to put together a great team in 2 yrs rather than try to cobble together a decent team now.

Who the heck cares about those fans that would complain? They don't go to games or watch them on tv anyways. I would keep Choo until next year however just in case Kipnis and Brantley build on this year, Asdrubal is Asdrubal, Santana finally figures it half out and so on.

What this team lacks is a spark. It's a shame we couldn't land Youk. I thought he could be that for us.

I would be cool with getting Frenchy from the Royals & then trading Choo.
