With @camakazee 's blessing, I've decided to bring back the neat-o stats of the night. Hope I can do it justice in time.

3/3 @ Atlanta

Strong Start:

*The Cavaliers put up a 39 spot in the 1st quarter, the 3rd time they've reached that plateau this season.

*The 39 points was their highest scoring 1st quarter vs an Eastern Conference team since 11/15/2014, which also came against the Hawks.

Glass is Half Full:

*The Cavs put up 77 points in the 1st half, 3rd most in franchise history and the most 1st half points they've ever put up on the road.

*The Cavaliers 77 1st half points is also the 6th most put up by any team on the road in the past 20 years.

Glass is Half Empty:

*The Cavs gave up a 60 spot in the 1st half tonight, the 8th time they've done that this season. However, they are now 6-2 in those games.

Points Galore:

*The Cavs allowed 130+ points in a non-OT game for the 2nd time in the past two seasons. Prior to last season, they had allowed 130 points in a non-OT game twice in the previous 25 seasons.

*The Clevelanders scored 135+ points in a non-OT game for the 2nd time this season and the 8th time in franchise history.

*The 135 points scored is the most in a non-OT road game in franchise history.

Good Signs:

*Richard Jefferson went 3-5 from deep tonight and is now 8-16 (.500) over his last 5 games. He had been 2 for his previous 15 and 7 for his previous 28.

*Channing Frye had 3 triples himself tonight, going 3-6. He was 6 for his previous 26 coming into tonight.

New and Improved:

*New backup PG Deron Williams has 9 assists and 1 turnover in just over 41 minutes of action as a Cav.

*Derrick Williams, trying to revive his career as a Cavalier, has drilled 12 triples as a Wine and Golder (12-29). That's 1 less than he hit in his previous 25 games combined, dating back to last season.

Rare Breeds:

*Kyrie Irving finished with 43p, 9a, 4s, and 5 triples on just 21 FGA. The only other player to have done this on 21 or fewer FGA (at least since '83-84) is Dwyane Wade.

*LeBron James had 38p, 13r, 8a, and 6 3ptM. He joins Vince Carter and James Harden as the only players to have ever had such a stat line.

*LeBron is the only of the three to have this stat line with 2 or fewer turnovers.

Road Warrior:

*LeBron James over his last 9 road games:
27.4/8.4/10.7 on .543 shooting (.490 from deep)

Beast of the (South)East:

*LeBron James vs the South East Division:
29.4/8.4/8.8/1.78s on .527 shooting (.525 from deep)

Front End Alignment:

*The Cavaliers have improved to 10-2 on the front end of a back to back. They've averaged 114.5 PPG in their 10 wins.

3/4 @ Miami

Early Bird:

*The Cavs put up 35 in the 1st quarter tonight, the 11th time they've done that this season.

*It's the 6th time they've done it on the road, tied with Houston for most in the NBA

3 & ?:

*The Cavaliers drilled 10 triples for the 15th straight game, the 7th highest streak in history.

*All of the 7 longest streaks have come in the past 3 seasons. The Cavs are responsible for 3 of them.

*The Cavs have allowed 120+ points in back to back games for the 2nd time this season.

*That matches the number of times they had allowed 120+ points in back to back games over the previous 28 seasons combined.

D-Wills:

*Deron Williams had himself a 10/5/7 game in 26 minutes. It's the 10th such stat line (in 26 or less minutes) in Cavs history.

*With the 7 assists, Deron now has 16 assists as a Cav to just 3 turnovers.

*Derrick Williams drilled a 3 for the 4th consecutive game. He hasn't made a triple in 5 straight games since his 2nd year in the league.

*Derrick also has now scored 7+ points in 10 consecutive games, something he hasn't done since the 2014-2015 season.

Hot Frye:

*Frye went 9-12 (3-5 from deep) for his 21 points tonight. He is now 13-19 (6-11 from deep) over the last 2 games.

Lue-ving on Up:

*With his next victory, Tyronn Lue will get his 70th win as a Cav, which will move him into 6th place by himself in Cavs history.

I was wondering what stats you’d be able to uncover after this trainwreck of a game but there’s actually some good stuff here!

3/6 vs Miami

(The "Why try?" AKA "Larry Drew" edition)

(Dedicated to Andrew Bogut)

Early Bird Doesn't Get the Worm:

*The Cavs allowed 29 points in the 1st quarter tonight, the 21st time they've done that this season. That's the most since 2013-14 (25).

*The most times in a season they've allowed 29+ points in the 1st quarter in the past 30 years has been 34 (2010-11).

Glass Half Empty:

*For the 3rd straight game (and the 10th time this season), the Cavs allowed a 60 spot in the 1st half.

*That's already the 5th most 60+ point 1st halves they've allowed in a single season over the past 30 years.

*To put that number in perspective, during LeBron's 1st stint here, the Cavs allowed 20 60pt 1st halves total between '04-05 - '08-09.

Wrong Ratio:

*The Cavs finished with 17 turnovers to 15 assists. It's their 3rd time this season having more turnovers than assists (0-3).

*The last season in which they had more games with more TO than assists was 2011-'12.

*The Clevelanders finished with 29 FTA and 27 3ptA. It's the 25th time they have attempted more FT than 3pt in a game this season. They are now 7-18 in those games.

BrUn-Believable:

*LeBron finished with 30p, 17r, 6a, 1s, 1b on 50% shooting (11-22) in 38 Minutes

*He's the 5th player to put up 30/17/6/1/1/50% in less than 40 minutes (Shaq x3, Barkley, Malone, MJ). Barkley was the only other player to hit a 3 while putting up these numbers

The House that Bron Built:

*LeBron in his last 11 home games:

26.1p, 9.5r, 9.7a, .637 FG, .375 3pt

MoFlo, has there ever been less minutes played by a player in Cavs history (if he never plays again)?

MoFlo, has there ever been less minutes played by a player in Cavs history (if he never plays again)?

Nope. Bogut would hold the record.

Larry Robinson is closest, having played 1:27 in his only game as a Cavalier in 2001.

Sorry for the lull, had a death in the family.

(Dedicated to the memory of my step-father, a great man who would ask me literally every night [every week in the Browns case] if the Cavaliers/Indians/Browns played)

3/14 vs Detroit

1st things 1st:

Half and Half:

*The Clevelanders allowed 48 points in the 1st half tonight, snapping a streak of 6 straight games where they hadn't allowed less than 50 points in the 1st half

*Those 104 points through 3 quarters is the 11th time in franchise history (11-0). Three of those 11 games have been this season.

*Before this season, the last time they scored 104+ through 3 was in 1992.

*They had accomplished that feat 8 times total over the previous 26 seasons combined.

Triple Threat:

D-Wills:

*Deron Williams now has 33 Assists to just 5 Turnovers as a Cavalier.

*Derrick Williams hit 3 triples tonight and now has 18 as a Cavalier. He had hit 19 treys in his previous 33 games, dating back to last season.
