I know...

12 happened overnight

I remember the first few seasons, we struggled getting a strong 8 who wouldnt quit.

I think, having the CPU active is going to really help pick up the slack in case we run into someone who steps down or whatever, so Im not worried about a bunch of new guys getting on board.

Definitely. CPUs are gonna help a ton. I'm always down to resume my role as admin. Trade and FA restrictions like we used to...sounds good

From your Original post I believe we can select any team 10 or below, in which case I'd like to select the #10 team. I believe #10 is Denver but if you go by the rankings in the association mode it's orlando and that works too. If for some reason neither team is available, Blake show.

Nah, we're just going with the teams left available Mike

3 cheesing with the 11th blazers....

IMPORTANT... READ THIS

Im thinking we should go for the REAL DEAL this season and try a full season.

The reason being two fold.

1. We have CPU users now, so we have a full league.

2. After reading up much on leagues and everyones complaints, people say things like, some games that get dropped are simmed and not able to be reset by admins at this time. And things like that. That would be major, if we play a 20 or 30 game season, and me and Malc disconnect one game. But if we have 3-4 more left, we may be able to take the simmed result in stride a little better.

If we do go with a 82 game season, I recommend that we go back to having trade restrictions per games played, to keep guys active and keep things moving pretty well. This worked pretty well in the 2 seasons we have used this for. Maybe a trade for every 7 or 10 games played.

Also, we will DEF need at least 5 admins again, to vote on trades and things like that. Any of you regulars down?

This is starting to shape up. I will have the banner ads to Ben by days end, so its possible we may get some guys jumping in here. Voice any concerns now so we can have rules set.

I'm OK with this in general but I have a few points that I'd like to add.

  • The idea of a full season works for me as long as we don't have a tight restriction on the number of games we are required to play each week. My availability is really high some weeks and really low in others, if we have to crank out a consistently high # of games per week it may get to be too much.
  • Trade restrictions exist to keep the league moving and IMO that's all. I think a better policy would be to allow people to make as many trades as they want assuming they have met the required # of games for that point in time. We can make this rule flexible by granting 2 trades regardless of the # of games played. The importance here, IMO, is that the admins review all trades to ensure they are fair. I don't want a league ruined because the computer accepts a bad trade or because someone pulls a London and trades away the Celtics.
  • Are schedules flexible? In other words, can I play any game on my schedule at any time? I think last year was great because if I traveled for the week and was unable to play my games I didn't have to hold the league back.
  • I'd like to be an admin
  • I thought you were moving, why the hell are you in Knoxville?

I'll take the Utah Jazz = Edman28

Welcome. The past few years we've had non-regular RCF members in the league there has been a problem with them checking into the thread regularly enough. You've been a member since 2010 so you'll probably be fine, just saying just in case, everything runs smoother as long as everyone keeps up with this thread.

chrisrich91 - I understand the concern. I joined RCF at the tail-end of the LBJ era.. and then it was all downhill so I don't check-in very often but I'm an avid 2k12 player and I work with "themike" so I can assure you I will be keeping up-to-date with this thread. I'm in for the full 82-game season if we go that route.

Also,
Just in case their is any confusion about the post chrisrich91 had

I switched my preferred team to the Minnesota Timberwolves.. I don't want the Jazz anymore. I like the T-wolves young-guns

Mike

I'm just south of Nashville still.

I agree with you on not having a ridiculous amount of games required per calendar week.

I dont agree on allowing as many trades as you want. I like having a semblance of realism, and the thought that you have to play so many games in order to make one trade, will not only keep guys playing, but will safeguard against guys trading just to trade, and trading guys over and over again.

If you can only trade for a guy and have to keep him for 10 games, you will do your research and not just throw guys into trades. 10 games is a 8th of a full season. Thats a risky move for just making a trade on a whim.

I like it

I just played 2 games with the Twolves on Hall of Fame and got annihilated.. worst team ever.

Can I switch to Phoenix Suns? Sorry for the indecisiveness

I'll have the Bucks.

Feels like I'll regret that later on..

Oh by the way, I'm going to visit the pops at Istanbul for the semester break between xmas and 15th of june. I'll probably take the xbox with me but the connectivity may suck ass. Just letting you guys know. If that doesn't suit you guys at all, you can replace me

Edit: We are going to play with the regular rosters right? No rookies and shit?

Rchfld - I hate to pull this shit but I'd like to request to switch to Minnesota.

I just picked up the game yesterday and really didnt have a good feel for it when i picked my teams. I feel that it's my destiny to play as the wolves as I lived there last summer and want to make sure Rubio is raised correctly.

In summary: Ed = Phoenix, Mike = Minnesota
