You should've played Team-up on Gamebattles. Keeps records for you, allows you to find 2v2s, 3v3s, 4v4s, and 5v5s easily, and the competition is better.

Pretty new to owning 2k14 (rented it when it came out and borrowed a time or two).

How do you do this & how do we control picking the position and team we want?

You and your teammates have to make accounts first and then link your gamertags to your accounts.

Then find the 2K14 ladder for whatever console you own.

Make a team and invite your teammate.

And then go to the match finder and either accept a game or post a match using whatever settings you want.

Gamebattles is complicated if you're new to it but once you get used to it, it becomes really simple and easy to work with.

As far as picking positions, that's all up to you. You can't control what positions they get and they can't control what positions you get. You can put restrictions on selecting teams. Like no overall top 5, 10, or 20.

2K14 on the PS4 was an absolute fucking joke. Can't create players. Barely can edit rosters. VC, VC, VC. MyGM is a joke. It was horrible.

Nope. I love online association, I truly feel that coaching adjustments and profiles can impact games, for the most part the play is smooth, still a great game. Just room for improvement. Honestly 2k is my number two video game franchise, I just wish they would strive for the same greatness they did from 05-11. There has been minor improvements, but I feel like they're getting complacent without competition.

I feel like I've beaten this horse to death a thousand times (maybe not on RCF, though)...but 2K14 was not made for next gen. It was made for 360 and PS3. They completely rushed it for PS4/X1 and that's why it is missing most of the basic features that NBA 2K has always had. It is good for playing quick game and that's about it.

In other words, 2K14 on PS4 is a fluke. 2K15 will have all the typical shit that NBA 2K has, plus more, with top notch graphics. Should be good.
