NBA 2K15

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Nice to see EA has finally gotten rid of the starched shorts. Still getting 2k though, I have completely given up on EA games. Bring back 2k football!

I would buy a 2k football game day one. EA has become... well the evil of the gaming world and until they stop recycling A.I and putting out a glitched and half assed game. I will not buy their games again.

My combined record over the last few years online with the cavs is approximately 2,500-100.. I'm still undefeated in 2k14 on both consoles at about 450-0. Playing online this year with this stacked team is going to be so, so, so, sweet. No game is going to even be close by half. My sweet reward! Also should be fun doing an association mode with the timberwolves, which will be the first time I ever touch a non cleveland team in a video game. That team is way too appealing though. I'm ordering league just to watch them this year

prove it.

Any chance NBA Live 15 competes with 2K15 this year? If 2K delivers a MyPlayer mode like it did last year, I can't see anything coming close anytime soon.

While I can see why people liked MyPlayer, I honestly hated it. Was so gimmicky and felt like it was super easy but unfair at the same time (if that makes any sense). I feel like the entire game has been in the same place since 2K12. Not too many gameplay improvements. Even if I do end up buying 2K this year, I still want Live to be as good, if not better than 2K so it motivates them to make major changes as opposed to a yearly graphical/roster update like Fifa.

From the Live trailer I posted earlier (which is supposed to be in engine), the player models look realllllly good. The one thing that didn't look promising was how awkward Blake Griffin's dunk was. Might just be weird to me though. The other problem, not outright related to Live is that NHL 15 has left off so many key features of the franchise, that I'm kind of worried the same thing is going to happen to Live.

I'm looking forward to live. 2k's gameplay has gotten really old. The predetermined animations, the bullshit stuff that happens, I feel a lack of control too much, and etc.. Live looks like it might have more of a realistic gameplay as far as just how the CPU operates and stuff like that. I just want real simulation basketball. They should get rid of settings and difficulty. Make 2 settings, arcade and simulation. On simulation, no difficulty or selective setting switches. Just ONE similar ion setting that is ultimate SIMULATION nba basketball

NBA Live Lmao...

EA wasn't voted one of the worst companies for nothing. (they make a hell of a FIFA game though) But I can tell you this, if 2K ignores the crying out for Crew mode and Live has the club systems that FIFA has then i will give it a try. No doubt, Crew/Clubs are the most enjoyable thing in sports games. Nothing like building up your character with friends.

NBA Live has been and always will be a joke.

That's a little closed minded. Just because they were shit doesn't mean they will be. NBA 2K has gotten insanely boring for me, and the only reason I'm even going to get a basketball game is to play as this Cavs team.

For the past 3 years they've released game trailers that have looked good graphically yet each and every time they release a game it's complete shit.

I think it's safe to say EA will never produce a good basketball game again. And even if they do (by some miracle), it won't sell well because of their incompetence the past few years. 2K has basketball on lock in the same way EA has football on lock.

If you think this looked good I'm not sure I can take your opinion seriously. The reason I'm a little more hopeful for Live now is the trailer looks a lot more fluid and it's been confirmed to be a gameplay trailer. I'm not saying it'll be better than 2K but if they've actually made upgrades it's a promising sign for NBA Live 16. If you watch the off screen 2K15 gameplay, it looks EXACTLY the same as 2K14. The animations are almost identical, the player models are almost the same. I personally feel a little ripped off because it seems like they've just put their feet up on the table and done the bare minimum to say it's a new game.

Definitely didn't see that trailer lol. I was mostly talking about the still images that EA releases every year. They usually look very good but the result is the same, bad gameplay.

As far as 2K basically making the same game every year with a couple tweaks and upgrades, what's the problem? A complete overhaul of the controls and animations each year would be annoying and not necessary. As long as they continue adding some new modes, upgrade the rosters with the rookies, and fix some glitches and exploits that's enough for me.

I think 2K is at a point where the game is so good they don't have to completely change anything on a major level. All they need to do is just keep improving on the areas that need work and that's what they have been doing for a while. They come out with a good game every year.

I actually liked Live before 2K, but ever since I switched to 2K, I've been hooked.

The only thing I wish 2K would put back is Creating a Legend. That was a sweet mode.
