I'd bet our halfcourt D rated out fairly well tonight. If we are talking about initial offense and what we were giving up on the first attempt.

In general, we weren't giving up a ton of open looks in straight up half court sets. They were taking challenged shots or ones where they were moved off their spots. Where we got murdered was on second chance points.

All the open looks and dunks they got were in transition or on scrambling players after an offensive rebound. Unless you want to argue that guys like West or ZaZa got open looks? Which we'll take all day.

Just gotta box out. It's that simple. We aren't good enough on D to give them 10+ second chances.

Do you realize that we weren't able to box out because our D was out of position when the shot went up?

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised anymore with any result. With the stat power that the warriors have, it could be a sweep. With the stat power of lebron, it could be a back door sweep in favor of us.

Or warriors in 5,6,7. Or cavs in 5,6,7.

Without Bron, no one even tunes in to watch the league this year. Altho, if Bron doesnt exist, I highly doubt KD joins the Warriors.

I mean, who do you want to guard him? LeBron cannot guard him all game and try to score 35-40 points. He may have been able to back in the day, but he doesn't have that stamina now. Even on the Heat, Battier played Durant quite a bit. RJ is too slow. Not sure Derrick Williams is ready. Those are your other options.

At the end of he day Durant has 3-4 inches on LeBron too and is going to be able to shoot over him most of the time as well.

Someone mentioned bringing TT off the bench. I tend to agree with that. Unfortunately the Warriors play 5 on 4 on defense because they don't have to guard him. TT plus LeBron and shooters as the second unit seems like something we could try.

Frye also should get some run when Curry and Durant are on the bench. Deron-Korver-LeBron-TT-Frye as the second unit with the main play being a LeBron-TT or Deron-TT pick and roll.

Another thing is Deron sets some mean screens, but we had him out there with Curry on him and didn't use him to get Durant off LeBron. Fuck up Durant and get Curry switched on LeBron at the same time.

Derrick Williams? The problem has always been that the GSW were chock full of long and athletic wings, and us not.

It was always going to be hard.
