NBA trade rumors

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
i refuse to believe cheap ass clay bennett will foot the huge bill for lopez.

also not entirely sure why okc would want lopez anyway but meh.

It's either start paying the tax to make a run at a championship or lose KD after next season. Losing KD will cost him more money than the luxury tax.

Still don't see why KD leaves OKC for Washington. The hometown angle seems to be the only thing people fall back on. OKC, basketball-wise, is just a better situation.

It is?

I feel like he'd fit much better with Wall & Beal.

I'd prefer Russ and Ibaka to those two if I were Durant, unless he thinks it might be easier to get out of the East.

Yea that's definitely a consideration.

That, and OKC ownership is cheap as hell. Granted, I have no idea what Washington's ownership is like.

Plays would be run in Washington.

If Lopez doesn't get moved this year, could he be a target with Haywood's contract?

I like Miles. Him and Mozzy could just split their minutes. Too bad we gave up almost all our firsts.

One decent trade piece the Cavs have that people are now overlooking is Mozgov himself. So the Cavs could potentially do a Mozgov plus Haywood for Brook Lopez trade, assuming Lopez opts in.

I'm not saying I would do that trade if I were Cleveland, but that trade is conceivable. Lots of uncertainties with Brooklyn's direction at this point, but the reported 3 team deal that was being considered was basically a salary dump for Brooklyn.

We don't need another softie in the frontcourt. We need some depth and toughness in that front.

I'd be hard pressed to see Miles garnering a 1st on the open market.

Given the Suns need to re-sign Dragic, Green and Wright next season, most teams probably understand he may be a guy who is a FA in 6 months. He just seems like a guy being shopped to open a roster spot and shed his salary (although small). Are the Suns really going to pay him is QO when he's slowly falling out of the rotation and they're going to see their cap space shrink considerably next season? To me, that is unlikely.

My guess is the Suns would take a second rounder and a throw in player or an expiring on a non guaranteed contract.
