NEOMG

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wasn't Lebron a douchebag first with his "fit in instead of trying to fit out" bullshit when he called out Love on the twitterverse?

Totally!

This shit is so highschool. It feels like "I'm the leader of the clique...kiss my ass or else." Duncan, Ginobili and Parker are probably laughing their asses off at this drama.

I agree with all of the social media nonsense. Not a fan of how childish a lot of these guys are.

La familia!!! :chuckle: Just play fucking basketball.

Agreed!

But even before this new era of NBA players, I still think you don't step on your teammates shoes like that when he's in the race for MVP.

I know it's not a big deal, but it stands out to me...

LeBron is in the race for MVP in name only.

He's really not within range to win award if people are honest with themselves and I'm sure even he knows that. Meanwhile LeBron's calling out Love to fit in and saying things like "we need him to play at a higher level" is disrespectful, especially when I see LeBron struggling to bring the ball up the damn floor without losing it.

People don't want to poo poo the king around here, but dude is falling off big time. That doesn't mean he's still not a great player with potent ability but he is without a doubt on a decline.

I give him credit for speaking his mind, and not just giving the company line.

I think Kevin just gave his honest opinion, and meant no disrespect to LeBron about the MVP comment. I don't think it was a "jab" or anything like that either.

I think he was asked questions, and answered them exactly how he felt.

This would be the first time that KLove has answered a question "exactly the way he felt" since he's been a Cavalier.

He's pretty notorious for taking the PC route ever since the drama in 'sota.

So yes, very strange for him to say this. After our first playoff game no one will give 2 shits though, including Lebron.

EDIT: And I think this will be Lebron's worst season for the next 4 years or so. I liken it to 06-07 which was a "down" year after Lebron admitted to changing the way he approached the game.

I don't think Lebron will be getting the ball 5 feet behind the arc all season next year.

I think if Kevin had a mulligan on the mvp question, he might be more subtle about it.

Something like... "Man, lebron is ALWAYS in the conversation and Russ has been great given how he's had to become the focal point over there... They're both after it and worthy... Gonna be a tight race, as it should be..."

The media is good at mind fucking people, and they're trying to create a wedge between the two.

LB got suckered into it at first, with his weird tweet. It would be best if these two going forward be very careful with what they say, or heck, don't say anything in regards of one another at all, because the media is itching to spin a beef between the two.

It's no secret Kevin Love has been struggling to fit in, and it's also no secret the media sees that, and are trying to create as many stories as possible because of it.

I just feel that he was out of line commenting on the MVP race in such a way as to diminish his own teammate; the best player in the league, by far..

Has LeBron been the best player in the league this year? I don't think so, personally. He has the potential to be the best player, but he's all too often just lazy or on cruise control. I'd take Westbrook over LeBron if I was picking an MVP. Dude's had like ten triple doubles the past two months. That's absurd.

LeBron is capable of that type of effort, but he rarely gives it.

Personally, I'd take Westbrook, Harden, and Curry over LeBron in the MVP race. LeBron can be better than all three of them, but most of the time he doesn't give enough effort to do it.

No doubt, but like, c'mon... Your teammate is going out for this award. It's probably the very last time he'll be considered for it.

I don't believe this. LeBron might even have a better chance next year with a more complete and gelled roster. The dude is clearly still the best player in the game whenever he wants to be. I think he still has 2-3 MVP campaigns in him after this year.

Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and James Harden will all likely be better next year than they were this year.

I don't know if I can say te same about LeBron as I think he's clearly regressed.

As a poster in another thread said as well, Kyrie Irving is a player that is rapidly becoming worthy of MVP consideration sooner rather than later. In 2-3 years, who knows who will be the best player on the Cavaliers?

If the Cavs win 65-70 games and LeBron does, well, LeBron stuff...he's going to be right there. I haven't seen anything from LeBron that suggests he's not going to be an elite player for the next 2-3 years. I can see him doing it a little differently than he has in the past, but he'll still be elite.

Davis still needs the elite team success, Westbrook and Durant will also have to stay healthy and navigate a season of "what if Durant wants to leave" hype, Curry is going to be hard-pressed to find a better combination of team and individual success than he has this year, and I really think James Harden is just going to become even more unpopular.

It's certainly going to be a very wide open race next season, but LeBron is still in it in a big way.

The "Little 3" may have been acquired just in time to save the Cavs' season, but probably too late to save LeBron's MVP bid.
