NEOMG

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Dion goes to the locker room to take a dump, has to play 20 questions with what he does in the locker room for those 5 to 7 minutes. Dion/CH gets confused and religion gets inserted inadvertently to the conversation.

I find the whole locker-room-gate scandal to be a pretty big joke.

I'm not impressed with the content that's coming out from NEOMG but they're still getting their feet wet. It's going to take time. Haynes let Dion off the hook while other writers were fighting his battle. That's a red flag for me but like I said, its early.

Very much agree. The articles are not well written. I guess that is what you get when you make a pregame host a beat writer. However, I think that people are criticizing Haynes for the wrong thing on this forum. The original article was probable correct. He then swallowed the coverup hook line and sinker and made himself on the one hand look like a shill and on the other hand look like he had made things up initially. Obviously Dion was upset that he was no longer a starter and was pouting in the locker room. The next day he just said whatever came into his mind and only later realized how it looked. There are bigger issues with this team then this nonsense. The fact remains that here we are in their third year and Dion and Kyrie have never demonstrated that they can play together even with Lequit Love Matrix or whoever. They really are 2 selfish players. I think longterm the best offseason for this team would have been to move Kyrie to Wolves in the Love deal. That would have been too radical for most people at the time. We would have been a much better defensive team.

You had me until the trade Kyrie part. That's not a good move for the Cavs short term or long term, it's a terrible move.

A starting lineup of Dion Lebron Love Wiggins and Varejo or Thompson would have had much better balance in my way of thinking. Lebron would have played the point and Wiggins would have been his Pippen. Wiggins has the physical tools to be an unbelievable defender and finisher although he has a poor handle and questionable at this stage shot selection.

Haha you don't have to tell me about Andrew Wiggins' potential, I was one of a few that wanted to draft him #1 the moment we won the lottery. I still think he's going to be a perennial All-Star in a few years, but I'll still take a proven All-Star in Kyrie Irving over him 10 times out of 10.

If Wiggins had good handles, no way we trade him. Now way no how. It was the handles that made him expendable.

God, I hope he was joking...

Is that the same guy who has been asking all the terrible questions at the press conferences?

Good god Vardon... I'd be surprised if more than 10% of posters with more than 50 posts don't know who Ryan Anderson is...

Such a Mickey Mouse operation... really proving it in the last 7 days...

Dumb of Dion to deny saying stuff that he said on the record, but this whole thing definitely got blown out of proportion due to a combination of Haynes misunderstanding what Dion was saying (or asking an additional clarifying follow up question) and Dion not being clear enough about it in the first place.

Really need to just let it go at this point, though.

Chris Haynes committed libel against Dion Waiters. He needs to offer up a public apology and not a "clarification". That was an irresponsible article and the NEOMG and the PD need to act. Quite frankly, he may need to lose his job. Poor poor journalism.
Haynes is a total joke. Can't write a lick. And any true reporter would have asked Dion more questions before publishing a story. Obvious he wants a big headline.

Another horrible sunday edition for the Cavs reporters. Yes they had more than one cave related article but one of those was just your typical small game recap, and the other was a vapid Lebron James fluff piece by the Lebron beat reporter.

Honestly even Mary Schmitt Boyer was better than this, especially in the last couple months of her run.

Again...the writer typically doesn't write the headline. That's the editor's job.

Okay Chris Haynes totally just lied in his tweet about Kevin Love being banged up. There was never any point in the interview where Love said "I don't know why coach would say that, maybe he just needed something to say"

Those words never came out of Kevin's mouth. Love did look a bit puzzled, but not in the least angry, and shook it off with a smile.

That's just totally disingenuous of Haynes, especially with our team being in flux; for our beat reporters to put words in people's mouths and dramatize the situation. That is dishonest and overly sensationalized, which is not the type of attention that our team needs right now.

Just when we thought Mary Schmidt Boyer was the lowest of low, we change the name to NEOMG and hire a crew of hack-reporters who are ITCHING to sprinkle sugar all over our situation to gain more views.
