NEOMG

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've noticed that too Frank. Scroll through Chris Haynes Twitter and you'll see that a lot of his tweets are made to incite a reaction or create a storyline about our team. I don't like that.

Okay Chris Haynes totally just lied in his tweet about Kevin Love being banged up. There was never any point in the interview where Love said "I don't know why coach would say that, maybe he just needed something to say"

Those words never came out of Kevin's mouth. Love did look a bit puzzled, but not in the least angry, and shook it off with a smile.

That's just totally disingenuous of Haynes, especially with our team being in flux; for our beat reporters to put words in people's mouths and dramatize the situation. That is dishonest and overly sensationalized, which is not the type of attention that our team needs right now.

Just when we thought Mary Schmidt Boyer was the lowest of low, we change the name to NEOMG and hire a crew of hack-reporters who are ITCHING to sprinkle sugar all over our situation to gain more views.

I'm not following what the lie was...is there a link to it or can you post it?

Here's what Love said about Blatt's quote....

This could've been off camera. Don't think Haynes would lie about it.

Here's the exchange from the interview (Starts at the 2:10 mark):

McMenamin brings up what Blatt said, Love says he's fine, then Haynes asks him why Blatt would say that, and Loves answers, but doesn't say what Haynes said on twitter.

I don't see why Haynes would go back to him again off camera, but maybe he did. Or maybe he just embellished the answer to get more clicks.

EDIT: I just checked the time stamp and saw that Haynes posted that before the game, which makes it even more bizarre that he would press him about it after the game. Someone probably saw the tweet and told Love to not say anything about it on camera.

Again you guys...I doubt Haynes is going making up quotes out of thin air. You can get fired and/or sued as a journalist for doing that. If Haynes put the comment in quotes, then I assume Love said that comment word for word. That quote must have come from a different exchange.

Exactly. Before games and after games, these guys have a lot of exchanges with these players. They don't only pull quotes from recorded on air interviews.

Fred said during the game last night that Love is banged up and dealing with injuries, playing through pain. So I'm sure there's truth to it probably some where in the middle. Love is frustrated with himself and may have spoken out of frustration. I really don't think Haynes pulls everything out of thin air.

He turned his ankle in the spurs game...it's bothering him a little.

So why deny that you are hurt? I'm sure he doesn't want to seem like he is making excuses for his play, but making it seem like your coach is making shit up seems much worse.

Injuries happen and they cause you to not play to the best of your abilities. Would anyone really hold that against him? People only question injuries when guys consistently sit out, like what's happening with D-Rose.

Bump. I'd like to know who Haynes is supposedly getting his info from. Sounds like propaganda to me.

Being a Cleveland fan sure is fun.

Well, considering he did a rather extensive profile on Rich Paul in one of his first pieces for the NEOMG, I'd say that's a good starting point on figuring out where he got his info from. When you have that type of connection, I can't imagine you're going else where for your LeBron inside.

You think he's really getting this "info" from him? It's hard to believe there has been this much drama 30 games in. Seems like a bunch of shit stirring to me. Maybe Rich is giving b/s on purpose?

Where's Broussard been? He's the go-to mouthpiece for LeBron's camp. If Haynes is the best they've got, they're going to lose the PR battle.

Very carefully stating that LeBron will not go to management and then stating that he will leave is a lot of things, but positive PR for LeBron is not one of them. It's a veiled threat that coupled with his pouting around the court could easily force Gilbert's hand without ever approaching management.

I have no idea how some of you are reading that LeBron will not go to management thing as meaning a damn thing. He doesn't have to go to management if he wants someone fired, he can just do it, like when he moved to PG.
