New to RCF? Read Me!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
OK, I have to say, if YOU aren't the moderator, why are YOU setting rules for people to follow? sorry dude, just asking. am new here and don;t want to get off on the wrong foot with ppl in here but I am not one to take kindly to assholes being assholes and not expecting ppl to retaliate. Just a question and observation is all...don't spaz on me either.

Because part of what makes RCF great is the fact that we're not afraid to self police ourselves. I've been kinda chewed out about not getting on bad posters.

Besides, I'm the Man Called X, and I do whatever the hell I want. The mods didn't exactly disagree with the post, take that as a hint to follow it.

I think the fact that X has had a temporary ban or two and learned to be so passionate about following the guidelines and rules is a great model for every new member. X has come a long way, and I personally felt that this thread he started was a testament to his journey in figuring out what this website should be.

He is also pretty damn funny, if you give his sense of humor a chance. He invented the Austin Carr Drinking Game!

Ohhhh well that explains everything...NOT.....LOL. Listen, I'm not here to start trouble, in fact I'm here to rid myself of the damn idiots in the PD forum who can't accept others opinions as just that. Be nice to me, I just want to enjoy reading info taht I don't normally get where I live now.

Welcome to the forum. I hope that you become a valuable member here, as I wish for all our new members. Just wanted to make sure you had a chance to read the 2 important threads to help make the transition from CavFanatic to RCF as easy as possible.

I do have a question however, is it illegal to have fun on these boards? as long as you keep it PG, and it's not violating the rules? because over at CavFanatic you weren't allowed to use the words, Laugh out loud, or Laugh my butt off, or rolling on floor laughing without someone flaming you or telling you "People would take you more seriously if you didn't laugh so much." sorry I have to get this clarified first before I proceed on.

Edit: Thank you, it is good to be apart of this community. :)

There's nothing wrong with laughing. There's plenty of humor on this website. But if the only thing you have to post is LOL, then you're better off just using the little rep icon located below each post. It's the little blackened character next to the Online Status. You can add comments and give rep points to whoever. It helps keep the clutter down. But by all means, join in with the humor and the intellectual debate here.

And btw, we're not PG. More like PG-13 that could be a rated R film.

Thank you for clarifing that for me it's just I tend to use a lot of humor and some people may or may not take me seriously. I don't just put "Lol" though I typically put a sentence or two along with it. Well anyway I wont take up anymore of your time if I have anymore question's i'll be sure and ask. Thank you for all your help! :)

Nothing wrong with having fun.

Just put it in the appropriate place, and realize that when there's a thread established for important breaking news like an impending trade or signing, folks like me want to be able to keep up to date on the status of that situation without slogging through 15 pages of off-topic banter.

When people have time to kill then it's always nice to visit a thread where there's humor or fun being had".

So good, it's sticky!

Let's remember the Cavalier forum isn't for stupid trade ideas.

I have been lurking for quite a while now. I have one question I figured that I would post that here. I am unable to thank posts anymore. Why is that?

Need to have at least 50 posts to rock a "thanks," so add your thoughts to 28 threads and you should be good.

However, I believe you can still issue an "old school" thanks, by pressing on the the black outline of a head and shoulders located in the lower left corner of a posters' post.
