New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Leftovers..... Wow man. That is the next great show. Wow. Watch it watch it watch it.

And based on the reviews and this first episode that I have seen, it's so bleak and gritty that it makes True Detective look like a Disney film.

Just watched it without looking up the premise or anything. It captivated my attention, but I'm incredibly confused right now. :chuckles:

I heard there was a fascinating sex sequence between Eric and Jason. I did not watch, but apparently the interwebs are talking about it.

Fascinating if dudes rubbing up on and kissing dudes is your thing. The writing on this show is hilariously bad. It's a shame because the show actually was really good for a brief stretch early on. Going to take a lot more than Sookie getting back to showing the goods to salvage this train wreck.

How is falling skies? Worth watching ?

It's up and down. First couple episodes this season have definitely been more "down." Same as last season, although the second half of last season was pretty good.

It's basically just something to watch on Summer Sunday nights now that GoT is on pause

Well, you're a guy-- wouldn't expect you to find Eric/Jason naked combo interesting. They are just pulling out all the crap to wrap this up. I have no interest in the show. It died 3seasons ago.

Leftovers was gud.

I thought it was going to be more post-apocalyptic poop but the lighter touch used really works.

Anyone seen Penny Dreadful yet? I'm curious about it.

Anyone watch Frankenfood and Bar Rescue on Spike?

Seen Bar Rescue a few times. Got old quickly. Quit watching. Same idea behind Kitchen Nightmare, but with a bar as the theme. Most of the rescues end up failing, either due to inability to fix incompetent people or implementing poor rescue concepts, or a combination of both. If anything, its worth watching if you would ever consider owning a bar. Gives one some ideas to think about beforehand.

I am dumbfounded that people would entrust their businesses to shitty managers and not have the balls/lips to fire them. I understand that some managers are just incompetent, either due to being poorly trained or just in over their heads (not given enough resources to be successful). But, some managers are just willfully incompetent and lazy, and show a wanton disregard to their obligations to the owners and employees. Yet the owners let the managers stay on. Owners cannot just expect people to 'just do their job,' and complain when they don't yet do nothing when they don't. Many of the bars are better off failing, at least customers will not have to deal with shitty service anymore.

Bar Rescue Updates is a really good page. Most of the rescues are pretty fake. Some of the comment threads actually have owner/managers participating.

Its weird in season 4 of Weeds where Shane is in the puberty stage and has a squeaky voice. Is that gone by season 5?

STOP WATCHING IT!

Please.

It's so horrible.

Seasons 3 and 4 haven't been any better/worse than the first two seasons. They all hold the same novelty. They are all suck pretty bad, but mildly entertaining and something to watch when you are bored.

I don't even know what to say here...

The show got drastically worse after season 2. And it only keeps getting worse and worse.
I get it, you feel you've committed to the show, so you need to finish it. In this case, just don't. Run away!
I bailed on Dexter, and won't finish it.

My remedy for boredom is The Sopranos. I suggest you get Walter back into your life... BITCH!

Just watched the leftovers. I dont know what to think. I'm not drawn into it yet but I'll give a few episodes.
