New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Watching the first two segments of The Bridge right now and I can tell this show clearly is not fucking around. If you gave up last year, watch the last two eps of season 1 and get back in. This has a Traffic(movie) meets Breaking Bad type vibe.

Anyone else intrigued by The Strain starting tomorrow on FX? Saw a preview before Transformers and Dawn and I think I will tune in. Looks suspenseful.

I'm going to give it a shot, looks pretty solid.

That looks like something I'd like. I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

I have HBO and Showtime on Dish. Which has access to HBOGo but not Showtime Anytime. Anyone with TW or DirectTV and Showtime wanna trade login infos? My HBO for your Showtime.

The Strain - Sweet...we get to watch Walder Frey/Argus Filch kick some ass.

This has probably already been mentioned, but anyone seen 'True Detective' season 1? Thoughts? IMO, one of the most enthrawling and respected pieces of story-telling in television history.

I was actually coming here to recommend that! It's good but I think they dragged it on way too much!

Oh, really? Interesting you mention that as I thought it was right on the money. 8 episodes of 1x hours each I thought was the perfect way to tell a story without over-doing it. At times, there were parts towards the last 2 episodes that I thought could've been done better but it seemed like it was needed in order to provide an explanation for what was to come and to simply address some issues that fans needed answers to.

Only thing I didn't get was the season finale in that maze when Rust went in that cave and the sky turned all crazy and twisted. Seemed alien-ish lol

Love what NBC is putting on now. Loved Believe and Crisis and was disappointed to see them go, especially Believe. IMO that was one of my favorite series ever, even if for only one season. Two other good series to watch are Night Shift and Taxi Brooklyn, both on NBC.

Haha, it was a little weird, but I think off memory it was all meant to be symbolical. While it was a shift from the usual realism of the show, a turn to the dark, psychotic and gritty (even Erol's voice resonating throug the cave was very horror movie-ish) gave it that final spice that as an 8-episode collective could handle. That was one crazy scene though lol!

any of you guys watch anime? I've been obsessed with DBZ and Yu Yu Hakusho since they were on Adult Swim like 10 years ago, but i havent gotten in to many other animes. I started watching Bleach, which was cool but i saw there is a shit ton of filler for it, and i dont wanna waste time watching 700+ episodes with a lot being filter. I've seen Flame of Recca which i really liked, it was like a low budget YYH.

Any recomendations for a guy who like DBZ, YYH, FoR..that kinda fighting, high pace anime? I'm thinking of starting Deathnote since it is so highly regarded.
