New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I decided to tune into Turn, the new AMC show about the spy ring during the Revolutionary War.

It was ok. Didn't exactly capture my attention but also had some potential. Started to get kind of cool toward the end.

If you like that era of history it is worth a see. If you don't you'll probably be asleep halfway through.

I watched Turи, too. I thought it was good throughout, but it definitely picked up at the end. I will tune in next week.

Started watching Bates Motel on A&E this season. It's about the life of Norman Bates (and his family) before Psycho. Well, the story is a bit broader than that really, but it largely centers on his family. Had to catch up on the story line with a marathon session of Season 1. I like it a lot.

Anybody here who has seen Believe? Any reviews from RCF?

I watched Believe a few episodes. Didn't catch the last one, however. Interesting premise. But, the characters have yet to develop beyond 1-dimention. The plot is formulaic week-to-week and somewhat absurd (hiding in plain sight in NYC!?) despite that parts you are willing to suspend disbelief given it deals with supernatural powers. Not sure I will bother tuning into it again.

I like Vikings a lot, would definitely recommend. Especially to Game of Thrones fans.

I need to find a way to watch the first season of that Doc. You know anyway to find it?

"Kid Rock is the poorest person here." :chuckles:

Many delicious one liners in that show.

I liked the way the one dude was commenting on the 5 member setup where it was always 4 white dudes and an east Indian and that perfectly described our cast.

Does anyone else watch Shameless? Because goddamn if that wasn't one of the finest seasons of television I've ever seen from start to finish. Just an absolute acting clinic from William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum.

And for anyone who saw the finale, that final scene where
Frank went out by the barren lake and looked like he was going to toss the bottle of liquor into the water, then instead drinks it and tells God to fuck off...wow...that is one of the greatest scenes I have ever watched in television. Particularly the part where you see a moment of regret in Frank's eyes before it disappears and he goes back to being himself
. That was one of the most brilliant endings to a season of television I have ever seen.

Shameless, before this season, was a good show that I enjoyed watching. I think this season it became a great one. I don't know if it can keep it up, but damn I came away impressed this year.
