As long as Ben doesn't tweet and Max predicts 7 straight losses we will be just fine. "Book it".

I don't think people here really understand how detrimental Ben's tweeting during the game was to our team :chuckle:

I'm not sure if it has been pointed out, but the current streak is the longest the team has had since the last time LeBron was here when we twice had 13 game winning streaks.

1-1 so far.

Really wished Lebron was out there for OKC. Not only the national TV and MVP vs MVP matchup, but I think based on how we'd play I think we could have won that going away if Lebron was available.

It doesn't really matter what our record is at the end of the season as long as we make the playoffs and stay healthy. And considering this is the Eastern Conference, it's pretty damn likely. The Western conference team is probably going to have home court advantage anyway. All I want to see over the next 4 - 5 months is the team genuinely trying to work together and add chemistry. Maybe a lengthy shot blocker and a 3 and D shooting guard who can start so Delly (or Marion) and Andy can come off the bench. I still cringe when I see Marion on the floor right now. I'd rather have him and Jones split the backup 3 minutes on an as needed basis.

Kyrie/Delly
3&D/Dion/Miller
James/Marion/Jones
Love/TT
Shot blocker/Andy

That's a pretty great 12 man rotation right there. Gives us versatility, depth and insurance policies in case someone is stinking up the joint.

Oh, I also want to see them figure out how to use a zone without LeBron on Delly. Kyrie, TT, Dion, Love and Andy seem lost on the other team's drive as well as when they try to get boards.

I don't think a loss in a game LeBron missed counts as a measuring stick game.

Toronto
@OKC
@NO
Charlotte
Atlanta
Brooklyn
Memphis

Every team gets up for playing us now but all these except Charlotte will be against solid or better teams with Memphis looking like a title contender. Would be awesome to sweep the next 7 or just one loss.

Hmm...three losses and a win that could have easily been a loss and a blown 21 point lead. Aside from the CHA game, our DRtg in this stretch is approaching an atrocious and disgusting number.

We're getting really exposed on defense. Just drive and dish and you'll kill the Cavs if you have a good shooting (Evans/Anderson, tonight Schroeder/Mack)

-No rim protection. Tend to collapse too much because we lack a guy inside who can intimidate guards penetrating or at least foul the shit of them.
-Yet at the same time, in a wonderful catch-22, our guards are getting crushed by dribble penetration

I'm patient and I have a feeling we won't see the best of the big 3 till next year when we can use FA and the combination of the Haywood/Memphis contract to bring some more talent in. That being said really tough to waste a year with Lebron just because we can't pick up a few guys who can play defense.

my theory is play Haywood a little in the first half just to use up fouls and make guys think twice for driving...wish our bigs were more physical...maybe get a tech or flagrant to prove a point

Well 4-3 so overall an OK performance
Big win was against Memphis but they didn't have Randolph and and Allen. So maybe should move up the Toronto win in terms of quality

Lebron missed the OKC game
Delly, Dion, and Love getting sick hurt particularly the Atlanta game (Love's defense has been an upswing except for that game where he and everyone got torched)

Looking back should have been more pessimistic about the NO games (An away 4th game in 5 nights on the road).

Schedule really lightens up now for a bit: I'm hoping for a 6 game winning going into ATL away. If we win that we could see 11 game winning streak till the West Coast Trip. I'm hoping we destroy ATL on the way to making this happen as that loss really soured what had been a nice run for this team the last month

the hell it does

in the next 20, we play:

gs
hou
atl
chi
lac
okc
port
Dal

8 games against teams with a legitimate shot at the finals.. combined record of 138-48, or .742

thats 8 games against competition that can win 60 games this year

Next 20 is tough but till the West Coast swing, we have a very realistic shot at a 11 game win streak. I think we can blow out every team except for Atlanta in Atlanta.

dallas?

bucks play us really well

Oops missed the Dallas game. That's at home though so hopefully we come out firing for that game.

Bucks don't scare me much now that Jabari is out
