Nik Stauskas & Sauce Across The World Tour

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I hope he enjoys his last couple months (weeks?) in the NBA... as I highly doubt we'll ever see him on an NBA roster again.

Hello China!

Hello China!

He could join Jimmer in China. Sweet shooting college players who failed to impact the NBA level but dominate in Asia. Hope Shangai is ready.

They gonna call him "Soy Sauce Castillo"

Cameron Payne is like 'They let me go for this guy?'

And he'd be right. Clearly a superior player, IMO.

I mean, both are god awful. It's worth seeing if both have anything in the tank. Payne didn't, so we moved on. We're trying with Stauskas -- he clearly offers nothing either.

Both suck. Don't put "superior" in the same sentence as both. Both just terrible.

Both may suck, but there are relative levels. All players bring different skills to the table and when signed in-season, are kept and let go for different reasons. I said what I saw; ok to disagree.

I'm not sure Payne really had a place on the team. With Sexton, Delly, Knight, and Clarkson he would have been hard press to get minutes. As bad as Stauskas has looked, if we see some progress with him and we resign him next year, he could be someone we can get assets for. Koby seems to understand that teams are willing to trade for any wing that seems to be a rotation player and can shot 3s at above NBA average. Backup PGs don't seem to have that same market.

Hope he is just late nba bloomer and develop to a role player similar to Joe Harris... They belong to the same draft but Joe was a couple of year older probably... Even if he played 4 years of college ball it took Joe some time to be real NBA player... I don't know if Nick has same work ethic and bbiq as Joe though, but he has better raw talent and athlethicism than Joe for somebody to take him at 8th

The players' respective position and the marketplace for these positions is an important distinction which I did not take into account.

Didn't know a lot about Sauce before the Cavs got him... Surprised how athletic he is... If only he could show more consistency and show more of that outside shooting prowress that he allegedly have coming to the NBA...

Sauce playing a little bit better last couple of games, getting some assists just need to shoot with better %... If he could continue and be a viable 3rd string SG, that would not be bad for someone picked up from waivers and making vet min....

He is still a long way from viable. But in my book he is a better risk reward than Brandon Knight..

You can see why people keep giving him a shot. He had some nice athletic defensive plays. It's hard for me to believe his fundamentals can be so bad. Like he was a known shooter, but his shot is just all over the place. You never see the same one twice. He's probably a better athlete than Cedi, but he can't seem to do 1/4 of the things that Cedi can do.

Brandon is almost certainly getting traded unless they find a spot for Clarkson. If they are able to trade Clarkson in the offseason, I could see them letting Brandon work with Delly off the bench, letting him expire, and then signing him to a small contract.

Nwaba is my backup 3 of choice because he can play 2-4. He could start at the 2 I suppose. As a 14-15th man I could see having Stauskas around as an injury reserve. Too bad Korver isn't around anymore. He needs a year of Korver.
