Official Brady Quinn Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Sorry, I made a typo, but if you want to look at that instead of the basis of what I said, then that's fine. And please find where I said he sucks in there, thanks.

You've been saying he sucks for quite some time.

You based the reasoning on college games for Christs sake...

I've said I don't think he'll be a good NFL pro, I guess I should base it off the pre-season games. I'll be in here when he gets benched half way through the year posting 'now I'm done'. But if he does good then I'll gladly take back what I've said but I don't see it.

Of course you don't see it...nobody sees it.

Nobody has seen anything from him and can predict the future after 5 minutes of watching him play.

The point is...WE NEED TO SEE IT, because we know full freaking well we're not going to SEE IT with Anderson.

Move on and try your luck with Quinn, if he fails...at least you know you need to address the position instead of waiting waiting waiting on Quinn.

Well apparently a lot of people see it, since most people here are obsessed with him and think he's the next great thing..

I just hope people don't make excuses for poor performances. Derek Anderson was criticized for only doing good against bad-average defenses, so hopefully no one makes excuses about the teams Quinn struggles against.

Browns fans haven't been making excuses for Derek Anderson's poor play?

Really.....?

Not many, only a few, then the rest are on Quinns dick.

but I believe I said I hope Browns fans don't make excuses. Everyone criticized Anderson for poor performances against good teams, but I already know after we lose to every decent-good team on our schedule, everyone will say, oh well we can't expect Quinn to play good against a decent team..

Derek is fine if BE would catch

The OL wasn't as good last year.

Jamal Lewis not playing hurt him last year.

Joe J wasn't there that was huge.

Sounds very familiar...

Really, Young ?

The only, and I mean only pass that could perhaps be in the same class is the read to Furrey.. The one thing I did notice however is the line not holding up as well for Brady... Perhaps with a more stable front, these things can get accomplished. But, two of these passes are to the damn runningback..

Seriously dude. If you think the Sanchez pass was that impressive, then you should probably stick to basketball. Sanchez gave a horrible shoulder fake that wouldn't freeze the most gullible db, and then threw a 25 yard pass straight up the gut... really one of the most basic passes in football. The receiver was running a basic post... he didn't even have to hit the receiver coming out of a break.

Pete Carroll was furious when Sanchez decided to come out because he didn't think Sanchez was ready. Seattle, Detroit, and the Rams were all in need of qb's, and they passed. The team that traded up to get him is run by the same man who fell in love with vernon gholston and brett favre last year. In other words, his track record of talent evaluation doesn't speak volumes. (and no, mangini didn't make those picks/ decisions. tannenbaum did).

What are you basing this off of? He played in 2.5 games last year, one of which was poor enough for excuses to be made (broken finger). The Buffalo game wasn't the prettiest thing I've ever watched but he won the game. No excuses needed there either. Almost all of his pre-season performances have been above average which would obviously require no excuses for him.

You keep calling people like myself who make either this argument:

(1) Based on what I've seen and heard, I think Brady will be a(n) adequate/good/very good/excellent QB. Give him a chance

and call us dick-riders.

And then when you see this argument:

(2) Derek Anderson was one of the worst, if not the worst QB's in the league last year. Brady has to be better. Give him a chance.

You say we're going to make excuses for Quinn when he has poor games, he's not as good as we think he is and we're...you guessed it...dick riders.

You'd be better off calling us Derek Anderson haters, because at least in his case we've seen enough that both sides can make an evaluation. He sucks.

Pete Carroll was upset he lost his starting QB, I'm sure if last season was his senior year Carroll would say how he should be the #1 pick.

I already know Anderson is not that good of a QB, does it make you feel better about Quinn when you say he sucks or something? Neither are very good. Shouldn't Quinn have beaten out this terrible QB a lot early in the off-season if hes suppose to be good..?

Done with you now. Enjoy the season.

I like that we finally have this Quinn kid starting. I really cant wait for week 4 of the season so that the title to this thread can be changed to "what QB should we draft next year"

Problem with Stafford is he's stupid... Can't recognize a coverage to save his life...

Look at this throw at the 44 second mark...Sanchez is legit..

You can't yell at Young for supporting Quinn by saying two of his passes went to Jamal when three of Sanchez' four passes went to his Tight End. Srsly.
