More on the Spidey Reboot (sigh)

The movie will be an angst-ridden tale of a teen dealing with the knowledge that his uncle died even though he had the power to stop it.

I would have rather heard something like: "The movie wil be action packed superhero flick with suspense, romance and lots of ass kicking." instead of a angst-ridden tale.

Fox's replacement in Transformers (yes she is confirmed)...

Megan Fox may be a total bitch (judging on how she acts and what she says), she may have toe thumbs but as long as they kept her dialogue to a minimum and kept her thumbs hidden, I was cool. Initially I didnt mind that she was fired from the job...but damn would I go beg to get her back now.

At least Fox didnt have a horse face.

Jeremy Renner near deal to join Marvel's 'Avengers'
By Borys Kit and Zorianna Kit

Jeremy Renner is in final negotiations to join "The Avengers," Marvel Studios' big-screen take on its superhero team that's being directed by Joss Whedon.

Renner will play the bow-and-arrow-carrying hero Hawkeye, who, while not one of the initial members of the team when it was created in the 1960s, became an integral member soon after when the misguided villain switched sides.

Renner will join Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man/Tony Stark, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Don Cheadle as War Machine.

The Hulk may also be a character in the movie, but at this stage, there is no deal that would bring back Ed Norton, who starred as the emerald giant in 2008's "The Incredible Hulk."

Renner's involvement was initially rumored last fall, although the actor, who was in the middle of the awards derby with his war thriller "The Hurt Locker," was at the time more taken with Paul Thomas Anderson's untitled drama and was being heavily courted by Universal for "Battleship."

Renner never joined "Battleship," and while he still has definite interest in Anderson's film, that project is still cobbling financing and has seen its start pushed back several times.

Renner saw a chance to take on work in a role that, while key, is not starring in nature and will allow him to slide into Anderson's film if it should come together.

To keep costs manageable for the "Avengers," Marvel is trying to keep a lid on the movie's finances and the actors are taking salary cuts, according to insiders.

Renner, repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment, next appears in Ben Affleck's "The Town."

Marvel did not confirm that Renner is in negotiations.

Neal McDonough In 'Captain America' Chatter

Add Neal McDonough to the list of cast for Captain America: The First Avenger, the Joe Johnston-directed film that will star Chris Evans. McDonough is in talks to play Dum Dum Dugan. Marvel Studios was playing dum on it. Production starts in July in the U.K. and the film will be released by Paramount Pictures July 22, 2011. Hugo Weaving plays the villain, Red Skull. Sebastian Stan and Hayley Atwell have also been set. McDonough is available, as he famously exited the series Scoundrels because of his reluctance to do love scenes.

I know nothing about Capt. but that shit has got me excited.

The tailors in Asgard might have had Batman's suit in mind when they dressed young Thor. Looks too plasticky, except for the Hammer - awesome as always.

Uncle Phil is NOT DEAD, Y'all!

JamesAvery.jpg

The synopsis is that when any celebrity is trending on Twitter he must be dead. James Avery (AKA Uncle Phil) is not dead. He is alive and kicking. Uncle Phil played the character of Will Smith's uncle on the hit sitcom "Fresh Prince of Bel Air."

The latest news of trending topic 'James Avery' is that he will be in the new "Transformers 3" movie with Rosie Huntington Whitley. Avery has performed in many other shows including cartoons such as "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

Although there was an 'Uncle Phil' who died, it was in 2007. Scottish futbol player, 35-year-old Phil O'Donnell, died after suffering a suspected seizure during his team's 5-3 win over Dundee United.

James Avery will do the voice of Silverbolt in "Transformers 3." Silverbolt has been around since the Generation One days with an alt mode of a Concord SST jet liner and leader of the Aerialbots that formed Superion. The name was used again for Beast Wars as a noble knight character that was a fusion of an eagle and wolf.

"Transformers 3" will open July 2011. It will star Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington Whitley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Patrick Dempsey, James Avery, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, and Ken Jeong.

I'm kinda late but I can kinda see black Spiderman if he fits the personality. The thing I have against the Spiderman movies is that he is not Spiderman. The way Spiderman defeats baddies arent mainly on his fighting skillz but the way he gets to their head by his constant jabber. I can totally see Donald Glover getting fitter and acting ridiculous while beating up bad guys. However, I dont think the business people will be happy about a black spiderman.

Nolan can't be fucking serious with this shit.

Hahaha I find this funny. Same response I remember people giving in response to Heath Ledger being cast as the Joker. Everyone hated the idea and thought it would be completely stupid. "How could we have this pretty boy from a Knights Tale play such a dark role?" Well he proved everyone wrong. I have the same reaction to this inquiry as you do about JGL, but I trust Nolan because he has proven us wrong in the past. This Batman series is Nolan's baby, the last thing he will do is ruin it by casting someone he doesn't feel will play the part correctly. So I say lets just sit back and trust him.

Let's hope they dont adopt G-1 Silverbolt's personality quirk of being a plane that is scared of heights.

USA Today visited the set of Transformers 3 and got new details on the third film, opening in theaters on July 1, 2011. The newspaper confirmed it will be released in 3D.

Talking about the second film, director Michael Bay said, "I'll take some of the criticism" while standing at a set built to resemble a dilapidated nuclear reactor. "It was very hard to put (the sequel) together that quickly after the writers' strike (of 2007-08)."

Bay said that "This one really builds to a final crescendo. It's not three multiple endings... As a trilogy, it really ends. It could be rebooted again, but I think it has a really killer ending."

"One thing we're getting rid of is what I call the dorky comedy," Bay added. So the twins, "They're basically gone," he said, though John Turturro returns for comic relief.

The newspaper says the new villain will be Shockwave, "the robot cyclops-turned-laser-cannon, who became dictator of their home world of Cybertron after the other Autobots and Decepticons journeyed to Earth."

According to USA Today, "The new film features Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) taking his first tenuous steps into adulthood while remaining a reluctant human ally of Optimus Prime." "Shia has this great line: 'You know, I've saved the world twice, but I can't get a job,'" producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said.

Transformers 3 centers around the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA, suggesting there was a hidden Transformers role in it all that remains one of the planet's most dangerous secrets.

"The movie is more of a mystery," Bay says. "It ties in what we know as history growing up as kids with what really happened."
