Open Discussion (Cavs + related issues)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lou just traded to Houston for Brewer & 1st. What use Lakers have for Brewer beyond me. Hopefully a buyout candidate.

Brewer is owed around $2.5M this year and almost $8M next year. Hard to imagine a buyout situation that both the player and team would agree on.

What are they doing in Los Angeles?

Yea I get you're joking but his post is a bit absurd.

This isn't March, it's Tuesday, Feb. 21st; the trade deadline is Thursday. To suggest we shouldn't talk about trades is pretty, well.. ridiculous..

Shump for Rubio+Muhammad is being and has been discussed for weeks. Should we not discuss the merits of this trade?

Like I said, give me a break...

We cant talk about trades until 6pm on thursday. Come on this is a message board, why would we talk about trades here?

Trading a guy on a wonderful 1.5 year contract for a 27th pick.

I guess that was the best offer, hard to believe, unless Magic secretly hates GS and wants to beef up Houston.

If Brewer cost that much then we had no shot. I'd be interested to see what kind of offers Shump tenders.

Teams are too desperate. Could def. be a DAL smokescreen though since it's coming out of McMahon and Stein who are both DAL guys.

Seems like BS to me. Utah is already too guard heavy.

They have a 15.5 game lead on the 9th team in the west with less than 25 games left. If anything this makes the deal better for hou because the pick isnt reverse protected.

Mack doesn't seem to be doing much for the Jazz as a backup pg based on these rumors and Jazz fans comments.

Exactly - they might be looking to make another deal before the deadline. If they protected the 2017 pick at all (even top 1 protected), then (unless it immediately converted to a 2nd round pick) they wouldn't be able to trade another pick until 2020, instead of 2019.

Lloyd reported Cavs have not yet renewed Derrick Williams' ten-day contract, that they may wait until after Thursday's trade deadline, but that as of now he is a free agent again. Hhhmmmmm. Stay tuned.

I wonder if the Cavs are really waiting for the March 1 deadline to add bought out free agents? Two roster spots now open.
