The Bucks would be easier to deal with. Yes, they will annoying as hell with their length, but Toronto has:

--A much better offense that was at 114+ ORTG for much of the year before Lowry's injury. We will play shoot outs with them in just about every game and we will have to be hot from the outside to win games. I feel we can be off on offense and still have chances to win games against the Bucks as long as we compete decently on defense.

The Bucks just aren't as good on offense and as good as Giannis is, he's not a shooter like Paul is, so that #1 option opponent isn't as scary a proposition to defend although I'm sure he'll feast on our shitty transition defense.

--A better offensive rebounding team that will get a million second chance points against us

--The Raps actually defend the three just as well as the Bucks do so no advantage to the Bucks there.

--More experience

Ah, for all your numbers you aren't factoring in the crucial Lowry/DeRozan shitting the bed that occurs every playoffs.

Lets go Raps!

agreed -- continue to think people are underestimating Toronto.

Could it be because they've lost by 15 at home and then by 30 in the span of 4 games against an extremely young and inexperienced Bucks team?

sure, but they looked terrible in the first two rounds of the playoffs last year (went to 7 games against Indiana and then Miami) and then they took two games from us in the ECF. And I think they have more talent this year (JV healthy, Ibaka+Tucker>Biyombo)

Not that I disagree Rich, but I think both Lowry and DeRozan feel more comfortable playing as the under dogs, with zero pressure, than having any actual expectations going into a series.

I remember DeRozan having a great series against us last year, where we had no answer for him, after being pretty pedestrian for majority of the playoffs before he met us.

Although Lowry had some of his infamous awful performances against us, like him leaving to go into the tunnel, etc, he also had some great games when they got back home at least.

I do think we'd beat the Raps, make no mistake, but if those two get their heads out of their ass they'd give us some fits.

Regardless of who we play next, I don't expect a sweep though.

I'd argue we played 4 quarters of defense today.

Me too. Yes we again let up a bit in the 4th but they still only scored 25 points. Yes we did bleed at the end but not nearly as bad as the games before.

Overall it was by far our best defensive Game. the 100.5 Def Rating is by far the best mark out of the 4 Games so far.. The Trend on defense is clearly continuously going up.

We can play defense when we decide to play defense. Today the team wanted to put a stake in the heart of this series and ensure maximum rest so they made sure they did enough to ensure the win, and most of that happened on the defensive end while Lebron made sure we had enough offense despite erratic performances on that end by the supporting cast. He can do that when he sees the need. But no matter what, Lebron can't play defense by himself.

Now that the first round is done with, I thought I’d see a backlog of Road Trippin’ podcasts posted by now. Somebody’s slacking!

They're not going to suck in every series ever--sooner or later they won't and the best time will be against a defense that sucks.

1. Who does Kyrie guard? He cannot guard Lowry and you don't want him on Derozan. The cover against the Bucks will be much easier as they don't have a killer PG like seemingly every other playoff team does.

2. Toronto has a multi-faceted offense compared to the Bucks. Bucks will not outscore a potent offense in the halfcourt. Lowry will be in the lane all game and we will give up layups, second chance points, and open threes. If we're not hot from three, I can see us being in a real battle for the series with us having to win nail biting shootouts.

3. Toronto rebounds better and will get offensive rebounds on us like every other team has.

4. Toronto has experience and it will show through as would the Bucks' inexperience.

The Bucks have fewer paths to victory than the Raptors do. They have even fewer against the Cavs. The Raptors have more paths and will almost certainly be the tougher opponent.

Not looking forward to next round; Toronto will not go gently into that good night.

That's when the playoffs REALLY begin.

You guys know what i realised? How simillar the Sitautions are..

-After a what many would call a less than stellar Regular Season nearly nobody thinks we have a shot at the title..
-Battled a tough 8 Seed in a close Series, many critizising why it was so close
-Bad Defense beeing called out.. ranks around 12,13th after the first round
-GSW already crowned

Feels almost Identical right? Can you even tell if i discribed last year or this?
In fact i did describe just one of them and it fits the other year so perfectly.

I forgot how horrible our defense was against Det.. I forgot how many even around here where questioning if we even are making it to the ECF let alone Finals.. overreaction much..

I forgot that starting with the second round we started to play complete Games and our defense really tightened up.. and after totally obliterating Atlanta and beating up TOR the first two Games ...the narrative started to shift.

I see no reason why this will not happen again. In comparison to the rest of the Playoff Teams our defense is not worse than last year. Its ranked 13.. last year it was 12th after the first round respectively.

Its clear they wanted to be done with the first round as quick as possible while exerting as little energy as possible to get as much rest and practice time as possible.

Next Round it starts to get Serious.. and i am 100% Sure we will start to see slowly, step by step a title worthy Team showing up.

Are you all really that scared of the Raptors? I don't see that series going more than 5.
