All right, more of the ugly data from the first two games. ORTG/DRTG are individual ratings.

FINALS STATS THRU GAME 2

Love --------> 23.9 PER..............115 ORTG, 113 DRTG, +02 NRTG [+05 NRTG in match up]
LeBron ------> 27.6 PER..............113 ORTG, 113 DRTG, +00 NRTG [-42 NRTG in match up]
Kyrie --------> 10.7 PER...............091 ORTG, 123 DRTG, -32 NRTG [-57 NRTG in match up]

Green --------> 09.1 PER.............092 ORTG, 095 DRTG, -03 NRTG
Durant -------> 36.1 PER.............128 ORTG, 096 DRTG, +42 NRTG
Curry --------> 29.4 PER..............123 ORTG, 098 DRTG, +25 NRTG
Thompson ---> 08.6 PER..............102 ORTG, 106 DRTG, -04 NRTG

LeBron fell way behind Durant in Game 1, but he fixed it in Game 2 and basically played Durant to a draw in Game 2.

Two things we probably will need to look at following this series

- La Familia Contract Club. May be time to end the "Klutch Sports holdout/re-sign" stream. At least when you look at what Thompson and Smith have done so far this series. It's great to make Klutch look good and get guys paid, but only if they can actually get it done when needed.

- LeBron Retirement Program. Love having James Jones and the other vets on the team, but at some point you need young, live bodies. I'm not saying JJ or all the vets need to go, but it might be time to start re-evaluating the roster seriously. Certainly we need a real center (which Griff did try to get, to be fair).

I would add to this, find young talent in the offseason in the draft, undrafted players, and free agency. Don't wait and see what comes on the buy out market, use every possible avenue to better the team. Lance Stephenson or Terrence Jones may have helped but we will never know. All I know neither is Derrick Williams, Dantay Jones, Boget, Deron Williams, or Edy Tavares at this point.

If LeBron hadn't decided to come back, I have a feeling we'd think very differently about Gilbert's involvement in the draft/trades/free agency.

Seems relevant

What date do we have to get down from 17 players on the roster to 15?

Who is gone? Felder and Tavares? Do we cut them or trade them?

We only have to get the roster down to 15 like a week before the regular season starts, I’m pretty sure.

I’d hate to lose tavares and be left with no rim protector again. We seen that last year and it wasn’t pretty. I don’t think zizic is ready to be that at this point. I’m hoping it’s felder and Calderon. I know it would leave us without a backup PG until IT gets back but we shouldn’t waste a roster spot on another backup PG who can’t play a lick of defender and who’s offensive skills are diminishing.

You know what's funny? ESPN and other talking heads give the Celtics better chances at winning the finals 12% to Cavs 6% and they predict they finish 1st in the east.

I mean, I don't know when they will learn.. I don't even expect the Celtics to be a good regular season team this year. I expect better playoffs showing to be honest now that they have Kyrie, but to think they wouldn't struggle atleast at the start with a completely new lineup, a player that does not defend or involve his teammates, no legit big man and a shallow bench is just delusional to me.

The main reasons the Celtics were a good regular season team were a deep bench, one much better regular season player than a playoffs player that had superstar impact on offense in IT and a good coach.
What they have now is a good coach, unproven players, abundance of inexperiences players, rookies and holes at the 4/5. Expecting them to gel and win right way, while the Cavs with a much better big 3 and similar holes had had huge problems prior to trades.

I'll bet every Celtics fan they fail to meet expectations, that unless Kyrie is treated like James Harden.

BPI remains garbage.

Perk is back. No worries.
