Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This team is dead last in the league in defending the ballhandler, a situation they face 18% of the time on Defense. One of every 5.5 plays. Surprised this hasn't come up anywhere else

everyone too complaisant I guess....

The good news is that dead last is only generating 0.95 PPP.

Being dead last in allowing spot up shooting (for instance) means giving up 1.13 PPP.

Anyone who watches the team should be well aware that our guards are not keeping their man in front of them, but the deep dive here would be whether it's partially by choice OR just something in transition as we expand our defense?

For instance, asking Kyrie to fight through screens is likely going to get him hurt. Asking him to switch every P&R is going to lead to a lot of mismatches. So if we can avoid that and keep the other team below our defensive rating (1.05 PPP - 15th in the league) ... it just might be a strategy.

Not being able to defend the ball handler isn't good, but we see almost everynight what happens if an opponent tries to sell out (send help) to try to defend our ball handlers (3's and alley oops).

I'm so sick of you alw-

Never mind. Good post, I agree.

I think we do need someone to replace Dunleavy/Jefferson in the rotation. But that should have been obvious awhile ago. I've been saying that all season, and before the season started FWIW.

The rest of the bench is set. Frye, Shump, and then? Just missing that next guy in the rotation for the playoffs. And I don't think backup point guard is the way to go...

It's all about having a set rotation. And I don't want to rely on neither Dunleavy or Jefferson.

Bench is old and terrible.

The bench was hardly the main problem tonight.

The starters showed little to no effort from late 1st onward, which is why we saw the mass substitution, and weren't much better when they came back in.

The bench is fine. Needs one more piece, and the rest of our missing players to come back. Jesus.

I wonder what that one piece is though. For me it's a toss up between a rim protector, 3/4 young athletic forward, or a backup point guard. I still think Lue need to give Felder the chance to take the 10 minutes of backup PG duties this team needs.

No heart or smarts tonight at all. I'm glad Lue did that 5-man substitution in the third. The team deserved it. They quit and just melted down.

The Bucks' length and athleticism can be hard to deal with. Still, you can't just go fetal like we did tonight.

The only person in the Big 3 I'm not instantly blaming tonight is Kyrie. He did some good things earlier in the game. Love and LeBron didn't get it done. Not saying Kyrie was great, but he didn't just throw up his hands and let go of the rope.
