The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Taylor is a Rivals.com three-star recruit who is the No. 42 rated offensive tackle in the country and is ranked as the 31st-best player in the state of Ohio in the 2014 class.

If you were wondering, there are only 173 days until the Buckeyes host the Wolverines in Columbus.

So Urbs just offered a kid from close to my little old hometown. Brandon Ferns (2016). His older brother (Michael) was a highly touted recruit and is a fresh playing ball for scUM this season. He chose them over OSU and just about every other big name program. I was honestly surprised, as he has the physical attributes, but to me isn't a great football player. I'm hearing he will commit to OSU, let's hope we get the better Ferns. Don't think it will be hard, IMO.

The 2016 class for Ohio is shaping up to be one of the best ever. OSU has identified kids early and should have less of a problem getting them to commit early.

Dublin Coffman 4* LB Nick Connor committed yesterday and St. Ignatius 4* DE Dre'Mont Jones committed today. Buckeyes are rolling right now and the momentum is only going to continue with Justin Hilliard, Larry Scott and Jashon Cornell all set to decide within the next month or so.

OLB Justin Hilliard just picked the Buckeyes, he's universally rated as one of the best in the country:

#58 on Scout


Jashon Cornell up next, expected to pick OSU.

On ESPN's rankings, we jumped up 17 spots to #6 currently. I am sure it will keep going. Hopefully with these 2 commits, others will follow.

I can't wait to see our LB crew NEXT year.

EDIT: Doesn't deserve it's own thread and right now only people visit this thread in the OSU section, but OSU ranked 10th for best scoreboards in college football

10. Ohio State: The Buckeyes' high-def Panasonic scoreboard measures 42 feet by 124 feet and has an array of 25 speakers on each side. You get great picture quality along with fantastic sound. The fans also are offered some pretty neat extras, like videos of student-athletes and teams, interactive features with former Buckeyes and quality player introductions.

Random tidbit, but kinda cool.

Damien Harris will be following these guys to Columbus soon enough, add him as another five star likely to commit.

Hubbard's LJ Scott stands a pretty good chance, as does Matthew Burrell, a highly rated offensive tackle from Virginia who Larry Johnson has been a huge influence on.

Hilliard was very important. It's a little bit of a down year in Ohio, so important to get the best one.
