OSU Recruiting Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
TG will be Urban's first guy at QB. Can't wait to see what he accomplishes here.

The next great Dual Threat QB at OSU.

False. JT Barrett is Urban's first guy. Hand-picked out of Texas.

His fastest path to the field is WR, IMO. He's got better tools than any outside receiver on OSU's current roster (not that that's saying much).

Bill Greene thinks the kid could be a better collegiate WR than guys from the Tressel era. That's pretty damn impressive.

I will say that it's very tempting to have an athlete like him with the ball in his hands every single snap, however.

Could be a great college QB, but could be special at WR. Reminds me of Pryor that way.

If Miller doesn't return (and I think he will), Gibson would make an immediate impact as a wildcat QB behind Barrett.

He's got a great feel for that play already.

What are the odds Bosa actually stays his Senior year and his brother is lined up opposite of him on the line?

Hopefully Nick coming here isn't solely relied on Joey actually being here his freshman year.

0%, since Joey will be leaving after next year

No need to worry. He's damn near a lock for the 2016 class.

Pretty big deal. I know lots of people didn't expect Burrell to pick OSU over Penn State, but the Buckeyes need him. I think he'll be playing guard as a lot of the other OL recruits are taller.

I came here to gripe about the Scout.com Buckeyes recruiting board, though... Every time a guy picks another school over Ohio State (if OSU is a finalist), someone always talks about how "we didn't really like him" or "he doesn't have the grades" or "coach pulled the offer"... Every school seems to do this. So annoying. No sense of reality...

At least one Penn State fan is convinced that James Franklin flew to Virginia to PULL Burrell's scholarship offer in person.

Which is par for the course in terms of delusion in Happy Valley.

Back to OSU recruiting, they're not done on the offensive line this week:

Brandon Bowen, a three-star OT from Utah, will be committing at some point this week as well most likely.

IIRC, didn't some people say that the Buckeyes pulled some offers for big prospects last year? Can't recall who, I just remember the same kind of story... Just annoying. And I am a big OSU fan.

There are about three people worth listening to on the Scout board. Most everything else is just drivel.
