Our Depth

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Right now the only team that I think compares to us based on pure talent is the Thunder.

James --- Durant
Irving --- Westbrook
Love --- Ibaka
Mozgov --- Adams
Shumpert --- Roberson
Smith --- Morrow
Williams --- Augustin
Varejao --- Kanter
Thompson --- Collison
Delly --- Payne
Jefferson --- Novak
Jones --- Singler
Kaun --- McGary
Cunningham --- Waiters
Harris --- 15th body

I tried to compare players of similar roles/players that do similar things, but I'll admit it's far from perfect, as it's difficult to match up all the players to their perfect counterparts.

Don't get me wrong though. I'd give us the edge. I just wanted to acknowledge that the Thunder are pretty stacked, as well.

I love how Dion's equivalent is a guy fighting for an unguaranteed contract :chuckle:
Lol. I figured they're kinda similar in that they're both good at getting to the rim, they're of similar size, and they have somewhat unreliable jumpshots. Dion will undoubtably play a bigger role this season for OKC than Cunningham will for us, but I don't know if that's necessarily a good thing for OKC. :chuckle:

100% of the people named Dion Waiters agree that Dion Waiters is by far the best player on either team. Give the man the rock and pick up your Larry O'Brien Trophy at the end of the season. It's pretty much in the bag.

With half the current team and 2 stars injured, cavs were 2 games from winning it all. Okc also had 2-3 players down but they were scrambling to make play offs. I know you said , comparing pure talent, but without performance I don't believe in their talent

Come on now. They were missing Kevin Durant, probably the 2nd best player in the league behind LeBron, and OKC plays in the brutal Western Conference. Take away LeBron and I highly doubt we would've made the playoffs in the West last year.

And like I said, I agree with you that actual performance trumps talent. I just wanted to make a comment on talent because everyone got into a discussion over it. Either way, I think we have an edge over the Thunder, but I'm willing to admit that they have a pretty stacked team, as well.

Who will our enforcer be? When Olynik comes into town I want a hard foul.

Great comparison.

Now factor in bball iq and we win in a landslide. That and our pieces compliment perfectly. They do not.

But I like this:

Kyrie 34/ Mo 12 / Delly 2
Shump 20 / JR 15 / Mo 7 / Delly 6
LBJ 29 / Shump 8 / JR 7 / Jefferson 4
Love 32 / TT 11 / LBJ 5
Mozgov 25 / TT 13 / AV 5 / Kaun 5

Total minutes:

LBJ 34
Kyrie 34
Love 32
Shump 28
Mozgov 25
TT 24
JR 23
Mo 19
Delly 8
AV 5
Kaun 5
Jefferson 4

Yep, that's pretty good. Good 8 men rotation at least right there. If things pan out, you may be talking about a 12 men rotation. Awesome.

So we're going to be paying Andy 10 million to play 5 mpg? I don't think so...

Seriously I wouldn't care if he averaged 1m as long as hes healthy come playoff time,
The risk is just way to high with this guy and regular season means absolutely nothing.

Allthough i kinda agree until TT is back we need Andy. Who knows if Kaun is ready for 25mpg..

Realisticly i see Andy starting out the season at 18-22mpg and once the TT situation is resolved going to 14-16mpg

Please people do not forget the Trade Exception that the Cavs have. THIS will give us tons of flexibility to add another $10 Million player that will certainly help the Title run. A Jeff Green would be perfect, a 3 that can play some 4, shoot and defend!
If healthy and trade exception used:
PG-Irving, Mo-Wil, Delly
SG-Smith, Shumpert, Harris
SF-Lebron, JEFF GREEN?, Jefferson, Jones
PF-Love, Thompson
C-Mosgov, Varejao, Kahn....
WOW!
