um because the packers clearly didnt have an explosive offense? there is only 1 team in the nfl that runs a true WCO anymore and thats the browns. any other team that uses the WCO actually blends it with a vertical attack game (see the packers), and peyton would fit an offense like that very well

I think it's much more likely Philbin brings in HIS young player to lead HIS offense vs bringing in an aging superstar with major health issues thats never played in a Philbin type offense.

All I can say is we need to pray he goes to Washington,Miami I didnt think they would make a run for Griffin in all reality Washington is are only competion..Flynn to Miami and Peyton to Washington I can then rest easy at night..

I doubt Peyton goes to Washington to play against his brother 2x a year.

I dunno, they love the media and the media eats that stuff up.

There is a surprise team that I think (no just my speculation nothing else here) may go after Peyton and that is the NO Saints.

If they lose Meachem (no big deal) trade Brees to Washington and Sign Wayne to pair with Colston they can get back to a super bowl in a hurry.

I think Smith stays in SF
Flynn goes to Miami
We trade Colt or Seneca (hey GB need a backup?)
Cambell winds up mentoring a young QB somewhere. (Seattle and they draft Tannehill)

However we would still have to jump the Vikings to get RG3 because I would think they may want to look at him at 3 if he is there.

I could see Arizona or San Fran signing Manning. Add in Wayne to the mix and either team and be very dangerous.

I keep hearing about Alex Smith and coach Harbaugh being as close as possible... playing offseason golf together around Cali and turning into Mr. Miyagi and Daniel San in Karate Kid II. I'm afraid I no longer believe San Francisco is in the Manning race.

Would be a shame to bow out of the Manning race just because the coach is "buddies" with the current starting quarterback.

Alex Smith isn't bad, but he isn't exactly near the level of Peyton Manning, even if we don't know how well he can play after all the surgeries and off time - it's still Peyton Manning.

San Fran would be ridiculous with Manning. They would need to add an elite No.1 receiver to their core with Crabtree, but Manning could still do wonders with Frank Gore as his running back and having a great defense to back him up.

Of course, there are other good fits for Manning.. Its Peyton Manning, so any team that adds him to their roster would instantly be a contender.

Manning just missed out on 28 mill. He's going somewhere to get paid. Redskins have the cap room.

But then again, Redskins fans think Manning is going to Miami and Flynn is going to Cleveland so RGIII drops to them @ #6.

Where does that logic sound familiar?

Im willing to be everything I own he isn't going to the Redskins. All they can offer him is money. Thats it.

Shefter thinks Manning will have a new home by this time next week. Here's my lousy predictions:

Manning - NYJ
Sanchez - MIA
Flynn - WAS

Luck - IND
RG3 - CLE/SEA

Kolb, Schaub, and Smith stay put respectively.

Let the good times roll...................................

49ers are crazy if they don't go after Manning. Denver should also make a huge push for him.

They had a defense that ranked in the top half of the league even without Landry for most of the year. They have the #6 pick in the draft to fill whatever hole Manning wants addressed. If they want to, they have enough cap space to sign Manning... and Wayne... and Garcon... and anyone else Peyton might want. That's a LOT to offer and with St. Louis being absurd with their demands for RGIII, the Skins might just go for him hard. You know the thought of that is enough to even make the reformed spendaholic Daniel Snyder squirm. The only catch is whether or not they're willing to hand over the reins of their offense to Peyton but given that they're pursuing him, I'm pretty sure there's your answer on that front.

Not saying it'll happen but they're as serious of a contender for Manning as Miami in my eyes.

Shannahan is control freak and I have a hard time seeing him give full control over to Manning. Especially when his shitty son is the OC. You make some good points, but he isn't going to play his brother twice a season. The Mannings are competitive but they aren't trying to step on each other's toes. One of the reasons Archie Manning didn't want Eli playing for the Chargers was because they were in the AFC. I think Manning stays in the AFC myself, even though Arizona and San Fran should offer him the world.

Musical QB chairs could go something like this:

Manning to Arizona
Flynn to Miami
RG3 to Washington
Tannehill to Seattle

That leaves the Browns with ... Kevin Kolb. Depressing thought.
