PG options in the 2015 draft

I like the opposite. Go after a potential PG in the draft and bring in a proven backup for LeBron. Proven>Rookie in LeBron's case we need to make sure he gets rest.

But you can't go wrong either way. BPA above everything.

The only thing I was the Cavs to focus on in their draft selection is the mental make-up of whoever they draft. I want a smart player, whatever position it ends up being. No knuckleheads. He doesn't have to be an eagle scout, but I just want a good amount of basketball IQ.

If they are going to be a ball handler or wing defender than in order to actually benefit us NEXT year as well as long term, they do have to have a certain amount of high basketball IQ and personal maturity.

If it's a developmental PF or C, I think you can afford to grab someone who mentally isn't quite there yet, because there role is a little more energy and measurement based.

From what I've read, the Cavs don't view Delly as a true PG. At 6'4" and with his effort, he can play some minutes at the two, as an energy defender and improving spot up 3 pt shooter.

So drafting a pro ready PG to back up Kyrie, doesn't necessarily spell the end for Delly or squeeze ALL of his minutes. As much as the team loves what Delly brings, I think they would love to add a more athletic PG who can create his own offense and through the threat of that, be a better drive and dish PG than Delly. And I think they'd like to find a guy who IF Kyrie misses extended time, can fill in a little more smoothly as the starter and allow Delly to still be an energy G off the bench.

It is nice to have the defensive flexibility off the bench of Delly who can guard PG/SG and Shump who can guard PG/SG and many SF

Keys has been on him for months. You could play Wright and Irving together. I think the upside is tied to the improved jump shooting. Could become Andre Miller 2.0 in terms of a pro career? If so it would be a huge steal at 24.

I'm telling you people, Rozier is going to be a steal. From everything I have seen, he has an insane amount of skill and natural feel for the game. That can take you places. Same reason why I knew how good Lillard was going to be when I saw his pre draft workouts. I could tell.

As for PG's, I think Tyus Jones and Cameron Payne will both be good players and very capable back-ups in the league. I think at least one will fall to us at 24 as well. I think I may like Jones a little more but Payne has a better chance at falling to 24.

Would be very happy with either guy.

I'm worried he is kind of a chuck in the dion waiters mold. No offense to you or not trying to knock your scouting eye, but I watched a lot of louisville(have a family member goin there) and he can change a game in the same way dion could. Both good and bad.

I wanted Lavert because of his size, but now that he is out, I think Rozier is the way to go. Offensive sparkplug off the bench. A much different look that Delly, which gives us great flexibility.

I think expectations will be different. Dion was a high pick and thought of himself that way. He always had ability, but couldn't hone. Rozier might come in with the same attitude, but he would have to acknowledge that Lebron and Kyrie are the big dogs over him.

Have to keep in mind that JR may no longer be on this team come next season. If that happens, it'd definitely make much more sense to have Delly playing primarily SG off the bench.

George Lucas from brazil, measured 6-5.5 with a 7-foot wingspan and an 8-8 standing reach. However, where he sets himself apart is with his hand measurements of 9.5 inches long and 10 inches wide. Basically, no point guard has ever had that combination of bodily size and hand size.
