What's with them allowing Jimmy Butler to hand check Lebron at will? I thought that was phased out years ago...
The hand check depends where you are at on the court.

Looking at the two minute review for the Friday game, the league has 2 incorrect calls that helped the Cavs, and only one incorrect call that hurt them But damn, thats too many incorrect calls.

I mentioned this in the Lebron thread but if I was Blatt id take the fine to rip the officiating on James and the screens.

He can go totally Phil Jackson with it and say something along the lines of how he should prepare for a Euro Cup instead of the NBA playoffs with the way the screens are being called

The problem w/ that is then the media narrative would go immediately to "Blatt can't handle the pressure" "Blatt's a crybaby" etc, and it would be another circus. He's not going to get a fair shake in the playoffs by the media and would hurt even more than help.

So the NBA two minute review admits that Butler travelled on that phantom pivot foot layup under the basket at the end of game 3...

How the heck can they say this play wasn't a travel on Taj Gibson?! Dude moved his right foot 3 times before he pivoted on it. Either he switched pivot feet early in that play or late in the play. Yet the report says it was the correct non-call and he didn't move his pivot foot?! Am I missing something?

They also said it was the correct non-call on Butler when LeBron missed the layup at the end. How can you say the contact didn't affect LeBron's shot? His arm was held down by Butler and forced a rushed shot. Also, why is Butler consistently allowed to bring his hands down on contested shots? The league pretty much considers an arm that comes down an instant foul. Yet Butler is allowed to constantly hack.

Not sure I trust their reports...

What's hilarious is the Bulls Forum on Real GM where someone started a the ref's have a conspiracy to have the Cav's win thread.
Multiple Bull's fans think the NBA has told the ref's to favor the Cavs.

the illegitimate time-out is literally the biggest non story ever. sure, we shouldn't have got the time-out but we should've gotten the foul. either way, Bron got a chance to win the game and he delivered. You can bet your ass that he would've preferred to shoot a couple of free throws instead of that ridiculous corner 3. no one is going to talk about this in the main stream media though, because fuck the cavs right?

I'll be honest, the officiating in this playoffs has been among the worst I've ever seen. I mean, this is as bad, if not worse, than the Wade/Shaq Heat Finals series.

I got to agree with you. And if you look at the "Last two minutes" reviews, the number of incorrect calls has been higher for the Cavs games than for the West cost teams. Cavs drew some crap refs this year.

Two minute report is up for yesterday's game. Nothing too significant, but they do say it was an incorrect non-call when Noah fouled LeBron on the second to last play. No mention of the bear hug Noah out on Tristan on the last play, but that isn't too surprising.

The NBA missing Noah's giant bearhug on TT shows how much these reports are worth, it is like the weasels inspecting the henhouse, they have the run of the joint. Pretty much worthless as we can see clearly in the wide-view image of LeBron's buzzer beater. Moreover, why only inspect the last two minutes of close games? What, like "it's all good" otherwise? They should grade all of each and every game. What a joke! On us.

Was reading on some other teams board a few days ago, and a few people were convinced that the NBA brings in Joey Crawford to officiate a game when they want a certain result...

Yeah. It looked like they stopped the game because they thought it went off LeBron. Were trying to screw us twice in a row.

That bear hug was pretty curious, but after thinking about it, it might have been the correct call.

If TT had the ball, then it would have been a foul.
If TT was trying to move to get the ball it would have been a foul.
If TT was trying to get away from Noah it would have been a foul.

In this case, looked like Tristan was pushing right into Noah's chest to keep Noah away from the play. TT's freedom of movement was not hindered by the hug. Time expired before either could make a move on the rebound

TT can do much better than Noah, he is an 8 , Noah is a 3 at best :)

So you are saying if those conditions are not met, it is totally legal to wrap your arms around an opposing player and hug him like a bear, while the ball is in play? I'll have to look that one up, well, maybe not...
