Predictions One week Out for 12, 19 and 43

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
2) M Mariota
43) TJ Clemmings

Most mocks have us with Danny Shelton or DeVante Parker at 12. Neither would surprise me at all as they both are well worth the selection and they fill giant needs. However; I would not be surprised to see an edge rusher such as a sliding Shane Ray or Bud Dupree at 12. Pettine likes to bring pressure and getting a top level pass rusher might be too hard to pass up, especially if they are rated higher than Shelton and Parker on the big board.

I can also see the Browns targeting a guy like Eddie Goldman with the 19th or even a trade down scenario.

Quality 3-4 defensive linemen will be available in the first round, but while edge rushers and receivers will be around in the top 90 picks. That makes me think one of those 1st round picks needs to be a nose tackle or 5 tech end.

While Gordon is my darkhorse surprise selection, I'd be pretty surprised if one of Shelton, Goldman, or Brown are not Browns by the end of the night.

Especially if we do end up picking at 12 and 19.

If the Browns are going to take a defensive linemen high, it has to be Shelton * or Williams I guess.* the rest are either project players or not that great.

As for Melvin Gordon, if they were to select him, they should move down a few spots. I dont like his vision and he tends to stutter step from time to time. Has a Richardson type running style from time to time. But he has gotten better and I have faith he will improve unlike the spoiled, entitled Richardson.

If the Browns cannot get a starting QB in or through the draft, Id be absolutely fine with taking a frachise running back high.

Shelton and Ray please if possible..

I think there's an increasing chance it's Mariota but

12. Danny Shelton
15. Todd Gurley (Trade up with San Fran)
43. Devin Smith

They trade all 3 picks to move up and select Anthony Bennett.

The Shelton and Perriman combo seems to be gaining steam both here and other sites/mock drafts.

I just don't buy the Mariota talk. I don't think the Browns are willing to give what Tennessee wants.

12: Parker
Trade up from 19 to get Shelton
43: La'el Collins

I know there's the off field situation looming with Collins but can't see how he's on the board at 43

Alright final prediction time.

I think the Browns are engaged with the Titans. And I think things are more than exploratory. When it is all said and done, I think the Browns pass. Could be wrong. I will say this. If the Browns really really want Mariota, they have more than enough to get it done.

12: DeVante Parker: Phil Savage had the move back and select Gilbert last year. This year he is beating the drum of Parker to the Browns. Think we could end up moving up a couple slots to secure him.

19: Melvin Gordon: I had this as my dark-horse pick a few days ago. I don't know why I just see Melvin Gordon putting on a Browns hat tomorrow night. Gut feeling. If the Browns are making these picks, it means they didn't take Mariota. The Browns add two weapons on offense to hopefully put up at least some points this year.

43: Jordan Phillips: Browns finally add some beef to the front 7 after going offense with the first two picks.
