Funny. The Candy scene was one of my favorites, if not favorite.

Makes me sad because that scene made it clear that he had cross-over talent (as did P,T & As) and could easily have handled parts with non-comedic aspects to them. Had he not died, it's very obvious he could have had a career with parts just as diverse as Jim Carrey once he broke through the comedic "barrier."

Gouri, I will watch Nixon. Hell, I got interested in JFK because of you and Damage.

Candy was good in "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" Towards the end, it was more so of a serious role. He could convey emotion with just a look. He was one of my favorites in the 80's.

I just finished watching "JFK". I wanted to know more about the conspiracy. I find it interesting that there are people who think we (this era) shouldn't care about the past because we were not alive when it happened. To remain oblivious? ... Laughable.

I remember my mother watching this movie. I now regret that I never asked her about where she was when the assassination happened, or how she felt about it. She never talked about it.

I felt the movie was great at covering all of the angles, and I learned a whole lot more of what others (those who don't care to know) about the situation. Got to love someone who was willing to go the distance to try and uncover what others want to be hidden.

Outstanding film.

*Edit* -- Also, I have Amazon Prime, but I have zero recollection of how/when I paid for it. There isn't a monthly fee, is there? If I'm not mistaken, it was something like $79 for a year. Not a bad deal, but I just don't ever remember getting a bill for it. And I think I've had Amazon Prime since April/May.

For those who haven't seen Flight.. Definitely a great film to watch, 8.5/10.. Great all around - no real flaws in the movie.

If I'm not mistaken -- Those who have Amazon Prime can watch it. It's been on my to watch list. I may do that on Thursday.

Is it just me - or has Scorsese made the same movie over and over again? Don't get me wrong, they are always entertaining.

Watched Pacific Rim

I dunno how to rate it. As an actual movie it's probably a 5/10 or so. But fuck if it wasn't fun as hell, so I'd rather rate it on my Fun Scale where it'd probably be an 8/10. Really was a blast to watch although I would have liked even more fight scenes. Felt like it was a really fun idea that wasn't pushed to its limit.

It was on Netflix a week ago, probably still on there.

I watched "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" for the first time.

The whipping scene was one of my favorites.

:chuckles:

Watched spring breakers finally....its an experience not a good or bad one but just an experience. If anything alot of entertaining James Franco in it.

Took my daughter to Frozen this weekend.

That would have been a morally bankrupt move. I mean, Nic Cage?

still think everyone should watch "Sucker Punch'. Most beautiful movie I've ever seen. And its out there, but the story is interesting. Too much time spent on the fantasy, but its triple layering is interesting and frankly, everyone in that goddamn movie, guy or girl, is gorgeous. Vanessa hudgens is a goddamn goddess. And the asian girl.. idk how you can look away from them.

Movie cost 80 million and made 30. ouch. lol

just downloaded dirty rotten scoundrels.. excited to see young michael caine and a movie about cons.

cant believe how much I dont get Steve Martin though. The Jerk was brilliant, but hes so bland and irritating. At the same goddamn time.
