The Hobbit - 6.5 / 10

I loved LOTR , Game of Thrones and liked the first Hobbit movie although I thought it was long, but this time PEter JAckson is really testing my patience. Sure the visuals look good and there is a rich feeling to the setup and costumes but if PJ is going to spend too much time showcasing that and slowing the movie down to a grinding halt then I have a problem cos I'm getting bored. This movie needs to be edited to under 2 hours !!!

Tell us what you are going to do if Peter Jackson keeps doing this.

The movie should've NEVER been made into a trilogy in the first place. Maybe two movies if he included everything in the book... but that is a true stretch in itself.

Anchorman 2 was pretty solid. Steve Carrell is my homie and I'm glad he got more screen time. A couple other things I liked but I don't want to give it away. It isn't as good as the first one, but its close. I'd still give it a 9/10.

anchorman 2 was ok. nowhere near as good as the first.

they did capitalize on the fact that brick was the best character in the first and wrote him in more, but it was way too much brick. some of his shit just wasnt funny at all. and it was easily a good 30 minutes too long

I liked it. I mean, it cant beat the original. It's one of those things.

Just saw American Hustle, and wow was it ever a great film. The characters were tremendous and the overall story and presentation was phenomenal. You really have to applaud David O. Russel's filmmaking talent over the last few years (The Fighter, Silver Lining's Playbook and now American Hustle).

Didn't see the movie, but Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence sells itself. :jerkoff:

I went to see Anchorman 2. when I got to the ticket office I saw American Hustle was playing, so I said to my friend sean "Hey, maybe we should see American Hustle instead? Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence... wink wink" He replies, "Nawh, I heard Anchorman 2 was really funny."

I should have seen American Hustle. what a waste of money. Anchorman was great because their improv was well done. In Anchorman one, it seemed like they improved, but carried along what worked and morphed it into a cohesive, spontaneous (but smooth) comedy. Anchorman 2 seemed like they put more focus on creating as much improv as possible. It was very forced and a lot of it was the same banter back and forth. Over and over. Imagine watching a comedy with the same delivery the entire fucking movie. Did it have parts where I laughed at? Yeah... but man oh man I wouldn't watch that movie again if you paid me.

This is how I felt about The Hangover 2. But I'm assuming that it's not a carbon copy of the original.

the descendents - 7.5/10

thoroughly enjoyed this. both daughters were great and clooney is clooney. way more of a drama than a comedy, but it excelled in both aspects. definitely pulls you in emotionally and seems very real. do NOT watch the trailer beforehand tho as it contains a massive spoiler.

^Watched it on HBO? I saw it the other day. Couldn't grasp how I felt about it. There were some funny scenes, and a messed up truth. I'd give it a 5/10, because for whatever reason, I didn't really enjoy it.
