RCF Dynasty Football League

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The league is officially all filled up.

Now we just need to come to terms on the various rules and we can go ahead and start drafting. Since it's going to be a slow email draft, I'd prefer to get started by the end of this coming week.

So if you guys have thoughts on rules, scoring, rosters, etc., now is the time to bring them up.

If you guys are unfamiliar with Mazey, it's a pretty awesome chat app that is used by a lot of fantasy football leagues. It's free as well, so no excuse not to download it. I'll be setting up a group for us tomorrow and I will send you all the details via a message on Flea Flicker. That will make it a bit easier for all of us to vote on anything necessary, and will also facilitate trading and just general communication between league members. You can easily PM people in the app, so it's a nice way to do exploratory trade talks without committing to an actual trade.

I'll make a post tomorrow in this topic with all of my preferred settings and we can go from there. As a note, most of the things I'd like to try in this league are not things that my other leagues are doing. That's a lot of the point. I'd like this to be unique compared to my other two dynasty leagues and offer different challenges for success. Hence the potentially tiered PPR system, TE premium, superflex (one of my two dynasty leagues does this, but we just had our draft so I'm still new to it), roster settings (lots of flex positions to give people more flexibility), and what not.

Also, everyone okay with the draft order? Flea Flicker automatically randomized both that and the schedule once the last person joined.

I don't think stark likes the draft order.

Of course I get the last overall pick.

last season teams averaged 13 or 14 interception per team while averaging 34 sacks.

I think interception should be 3 or 4 points.

leaning to 4 points since there is no CB or safeties.

Eh...last pick just means you get to pick twice in a row every time.

I also think that the actual pick matters less in dynasty simply because your goal is to build a team that can be successful long-term, not just this year. There will also still be plenty of great players left at 12-13. At that spot, you're looking at WRs like Hopkins, Robinson, Cooper, Thomas, Hilton, Cooks, etc. Not all of those guys will be there, but a couple of them will be.

I'd also be more than willing to deal the second overall pick for the right price. Gonna be expensive, though, given who is available at that spot.

Stark ill trade you my 11th for your 2nd round 1st. and 4th round 1st

I just tweaked basically all the defensive scoring settings to make defenders more valuable. Now their seasonal values should be in line with the numbers I listed earlier in this topic when comparing the top scoring defenders at each position to the top scoring skill players. I hadn't tweaked the defensive scoring settings at all prior to this, so they were just on whatever the FF default is for IDP leagues.

Basically, the top DB and LB players will average around 15+ points a game and the top DL will be in the 10-12 range. Those are estimates, obviously, as someone could have a monster season and score well above that like when Watt dropped over 300 points a few years back under similar settings.

with this scoring system we should see some defensive guys going as early as the 2nd round

I rather doubt that, but the goal is to make them at least comparably valuable to your other starters. Otherwise, what's the point of having them? I want a fantasy league where people actually scout defensive players coming into the NFL every spring, and where having studs at that position can make a big difference.

Sitting in the 3 spot so who's trying to come up and get a nice piece.

Why can't we do the draft live?

Or at least the first x rounds live, then the rest autodraft/email.
