I'm really surprised that Johnny Flynn didn't last through Pistons camp. That means they don't view him as an upgrade to Will Bynum. I still think he'd be a big upgrade to Sloan or Pargo. Count me out of wanting Terrence Williams, he just seems like a head case that would only cause chemistry issues.

I bet Flynn ends up here...seems like the Cavaliers have liked him for awhile now.

For all those CDR fans, Chris Douglas Roberts was also waived today.

The only way that happens is if we release both Pargo and Sloan in addition to one of our big men. It's possible, but both Sloan and Pargo would have to go like I said.

Derrick Brown just got cut by the Spurs. He was pretty good for the Bobcats last year. He's only 25 and might be worth a tryout.

I hope Grant is scanning the waiver wire these days.

Is that really a question? How did we get Alonzo Gee anyways?

I like Derrick Brown coming out of school. However; it seems like we have an awful lot of forwards that are projects. I'd like to see a true shooting guard project.

It's not that Flynn wasn't an upgrad talent wise, sometimes it's not about that

Bynum has been there for 4 years and knows the system...Bynum also is a guaranteed expiring contract which is probably the main reason he was kept

Christian Eyenga was released by the Magic, I'm guessing we don't have any interest. One guy I would be interested in is Andrew Goudelock. Though he hasn't been released yet, reports are that the Lakers are only going with a 14 man roster and Goudelock may be one of the final cuts.

Derrick Brown could be an instant upgrade for our roster, young guy who could develop into something.

Always liked Goudelock's game. I would also be interested in adding Goudelock. Like rabman said I'm sure the Cavs are taking a gander at the waiver wire.

well adding people cut at the wire requires making heavier cuts on our end, or making a trade. I wonder if the FO could package Walton with Samardo and Boobie for something useful.. Would be a 10 million dollar man with a longer contract, perferably would come with a pick.

Just looking at the roster and the play in preseason, I dont see a lot of logic is keeping those guys, or Casspi for that matter. I could see taking a vet at small forward that could help stabilize the defense. Maybe Detroit would give up a pick for us to take Prince. Its not like he is part of thier rebuild, and the move would save them 8 million dollars.

Rumor has it the Mavs will be releasing old friend Delonte West. They believe he would be a bad influence on younger players. Imagine that?

From a basketball standpoint, he is so much better than our backup PG's it's not funny. He started 33 games for the Mavs last season.
The advantages of him returning are that he knows the city and organization. And we know him. We know his medication issues and hot sauce preference. a strong HC like Scott might be a good influence on him.

The disadvantages include giving Kyrie a ride on his bike.

No question he would make us stronger on the court.
