Fastlane Tonight - in Cleveland!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I love that it was Rollins, I loved the chair shots (biggest I've seen in a while), the amazing set up promo, HHH's smug grin at the end... the whole thing was excellent.

I think Rollins will be an unbelievable heel, almost a CM Punk lite if he's scripted well. I wonder if they even bother to fill that 3rd spot or just let them shine in singles matches and only bring back the gang occasionally (Survivor Series, main events on RAW, etc).

Speaking of which, I dont keep up with insider stuff much anymore. Is CM Punk officially done?

According to CM Punk... he's retired. Not that that cant change down the road, but I would say for the forseeable future we can all let go of any hope of him returning.

I also love that it was Rollins, and the way it was done. Easily the most shocking moment in recent memory behind Lesnar ending The Undertaker's streak. I thought Reigns made sense too from an "Evolution" standpoint. However, I get that the WWE's plan is to give him a major babyface push.

Crazy Dean v Viper Orton is just amazing.

Bray's stair spot from Payback was the best thing I've seen in a very long time. Cena chucked that fucking thing from 20 feet away and Bray took it to the face like a champ. Best spot of 2014

Voice... I thought that the comments Dolph made about the company were back around last year's Summerslam? Are they seriously still punishing him for that?!... Or has there been anything more recently?

He's been making comments ever since.

Bo Dallas has the same finisher Trish Status had, I believe. Not to mention he BO-tched it horribly last night against Kofi. I think his schtick is mildly funny, and nowhere near as painful to suffer thru than Adam Rose, Santino, Fandango, Hornswoggle/El Torito, etc. I do think Bo needs to BO-lieve in hitting the weight room and treadmill. Dude's a little pudgy. He honestly looks like a generic indy wrestler.[/quote]

Every wrestler at some point botches a move. Batista botches a lot and gets pushed. I agree he does look pudgy, but Lame... I mean Kane does too.

In the ring and on the mic: Luke Harper > Roman Reigns

Harper just doesn't have the "look" that Reigns does.

He doesn't have the look or pedigree.

I cant wait to see the fallout of Rollins leaving The Shield for Evolution on Raw next week. Considering Rollins was the glue that held them together, it'll be interesting to see why he turned. All I know is Money in the Bank and Summerslam look a helluva lot more interesting now than they did 12 hours ago.

I'm cool with them breaking the Shield up, but I don't like that they are keeping Evolution around. We've seen the same old thing between the Shield (when they were heel), the Wyatts and Evolution. 3 guys can beat up one guy. We get it.

It honestly reminds me of WCW and the NWO. It gets old after 6 months of the same stuff.

Can someone explain the Ziggler tweets. I haven't seen them. Anyone remember what they were?

Per WWE.com

10 Superstars have been released

- Brodus Clay
- Evan Bourne
- Yoshi Tatsu
- Camacho
- Teddy Long
- Aksana
- Curt Hawkins
- Jinder Mahal
- Drew McIntyre
- JTG

Not surprised with Evan Bourne, despite his talent, because he's failed so many drug/wellness tests and hasn't been relevant for almost 3 years now. Yoshi Tatsu, Curt Hawkins, and Camacho were meaningless jobbers who never saw time on regular programming anyway. Brodus Clay, I would like to know what went on there to cause his release. I thought he had some potential as a midcard monster heel after breaking away from that awful funkasaurous and tons of funk gimmick. To never even attempt to utilize him in that role seems like a waste. Teddy Long... play on playa playa. I'll be sure to watch a tag team match on Smackdown in his honor. Kind of weird to see Aksana's name considering she was just on Raw, and the Smackdown tapings for this Friday. She sucked horribly in the ring though, and hasn't had any kind of serious role since Cesaro dumped her. It's been 3 years since I started watching WWE again, and I can only recall one occasion in which I remember seeing JTG on Raw or Smackdown. From reading on various wrestling websites apparently it's been a running joke for years now that he was still signed.

Edit... updated that Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre are released as well. R.I.P. to 3MB

Basically spoke out against the company

From what I remember... spoke out against the company (not sure on specifics) around Summerslam last year. Which would be the last time he was relevant and appeared regularly on PPV's.

Also, during the Randy Orton push last fall he was critical of him as the "face of the WWE"... saying he could beat Randy's ass in a back alley one-on-one in real life.

Then I read something over the weekend that said the MAIN reason that he isnt getting pushed is because the WWE feels (like Christian) that he is snakebitten from an injury, and more specifically, concussion standpoint. WWE officials cant depend or rely on him as a main event draw. Seems pretty unfair to me as injuries can happen to anyone at any time, but then again I'm not the one who is depending on wrestler's health to make money.

So my buddy randomly got hooked up with some free tickets to Smackdown tomorrow night in Columbus. It starts at 7pm and I don't get off work until 7, so I'm probably going to miss the first 20 or 30 minutes. But I don't think I'll miss anything too great because they tape WWE main event before smackdown right? Also, I saw that WWE main event is on live on the network at 8. Does that mean that it's on a tape delay, or that they won't start the main event portion of the show until 8? And I'm assuming they just tape Smackdown after? Never been to a live event so not sure how the whole thing works. Pretty excited though.

Went to raw last night. Haven't had that much fun in a while!

I know this thread has kind of been dead for awhile with most of us caught up in the NBA Draft, free agency, and the World Cup.

Did anyone watch Raw last night though? Probably the best show of the year IMO, especially needed after a pretty weak Money in the Bank PPV (outside of the MITB contract ladder match). Hardly any pointless filler, saw the return of 3 superstars (Jericho, The Miz, and AJ Lee), face turn by Swagger, and most importantly this summer's main feuds are starting to take form.

Thought the show had one good match (Wyatt's are too good), one great feud start (wyatt's going after Jericho based on walls of Jericho?), one amazing promo (Deannnnnn). Everything else was meh. battleground will suck with that fatal fourway.

The returns were cool, but. Just thought it was another week.
