Rondo Vs. Carlisle

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think Rondo is a travesty at this point, I do, to think some people were seriously wanting him on this team over Kyrie, is an utter joke. Sorry, I couldn't help it.

I don't think it's all Rondo, not even close. Why the FUCK would the Mavericks trade for a point guard, and not let him play the position? Carlisle calls the plays, and Rondo doesn't like that. Name me one point guard that would? That's absurd. They've put a leash on a guy that's been an all-star in this league playing the position. It's bizarre.

It's mind boggling watching the Mavs play, and what a cluster fuck of a team they are. That's not all Rondo. If you look to disrupt a player like him that's capable of blowing up on your watch, then this is exactly the kind of stuff you'll get.

Carlisle and Cuban to me both look like major failures at this point. Rondo will look bad, and be the scapegoat, but if you're a Mavs fan you can't like what's been going on with them ever since their title run. They're not exactly doing a very good job welcoming newcomers. Players seem to be clashing and colliding with Carlisle at a regular.

The guy is a good coach, but has his limits. He clashes with players too much, and is stubborn stuck on his way only. He doesn't know how to walk that thin line of tough discipline like Pop, but still able to reach, adapt, and utilize guys to what they're truly capable of doing.

If Dallas is out in 4, I think Carlisle takes it in the A$$. Which is both likely and fitting. Part of the measure of a coach is getting the most from his players, and he certainly did not measure up to that at the end of the season. Rondo is better than say Donald Sloan, so there ought to be a role for his skills. That said he is not helping himself with his ego hanging out of his pants... I say he goes o the Lakers and plays mediocre ball with Kobe for a one year.

Hard to blame Carlisle for being Carlisle or Rondo for being Rondo.

Maybe it's Donnie Nelson's fault for trading away 1) a floor spacing young big (wright), 2) a veteran PG (nelson) and 3) a great energy guy (crowder) for a floor shrinking PG with an attitude problem to pair with a micro managing coach. To think that Dallas gave away draft picks to make that happen and it looks like the exact opposite of the Cavs mid season trades.

remember how many people applauded such a clearly poor trade, too? it made absolutely no sense for dallas from a basketball perspective yet received so much hype because they got a marquee name (who is living off his reputation at this point) and gave up a handful of "unknowns."

dirk is awesome and i'll love him forever, but i've loved watching them implode.

I want the Knicks to give Rondo the max -- or close to it.

First game Rondo sits - Dallas are up 20 on the Rockets.
