Round 1 Game 2 | Cavs vs Pacers | April 18, 2018 | 6:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
this is the problem. right there. why do you expect that. why?

shaq did this twice EVER in the playoffs. shaq, as in a top 10 NBA player of all time only did it twice. why in gods green earth do you expect that out of kevin love
I actually think playing center all year has worn Kevin down some.

He was great in last years playoffs when playing PF.

I was actually hopeful that Jeff Green's play at the end of the regular season would carry over to the playoffs......ugh

Love is not the bad guy but has no excuse to not be more aggressive. This is his 4th straight playoff run. He needs to start acting like he is a star not a role player. 20 and 15 every night is what I expect.

I dare you to find me a player who dropped 20 and 15 every night as the 2nd option in the playoffs. You won't find one.

Kevin Love isn't one of the 50 greatest players of all time. Some of y'all better stop hoping he turns into it, cause he won't.

Hence why I'm very open to moving him and the pick, for an inarguably better player like Leonard.

Fair enough. I’m not one that critized Love for getting injured, FWIW.

I’m personally going to refrain from criticizing LeBron for taking plays off. I’ll criticize him for making dumbass passes like I did in game 1, but with the way he had it going tonight, whatever he feels like doing offensively, I can live with. There’s no reason for him to run himself into the ground this series. If we win, he has to be Superman vs the Raptors. If we lose because he takes a few plays off, IDGAF. If we lose to the Pacers with him giving 90%, we aren’t beating the Raptors with him at 100% anyways.

If Bron stays I guess I'll just make sure to be more prepared for his lackadaisical effort during the regular season. Honestly, it was just such a high level of apathy this year it almost shocked me beyond belief and that's kinda why I was so loud about it. But I really think we have to just chalk it up to him not caring about the regular season, and I can't really blame him there. A front office that wants to win 60+ with LBJ going forward is going to have to do a bunch of work to make up for his defensive slack. But who cares about 60 games...those 2009/10 teams arent exactly my favorite Cavs years...even though I did love Delonte but now we're off topic.

In short, I do understand the "why did you criticize LBJ so much" crowd. Fair points. Good discussion even.

Nope. Wrong. This is how awful, unethical things happen every day: "my boss made me dump those chemicals in the river."

Bullshit. If she can't stand up for what's right, then she is ALSO to blame.
Totally different situation. Someone tells you to dump chemicals in a river, it's against the law and you can't get fired for not doing it. On the other hand the reporter is being told on the spot to ask a tough question. She is being told to do something and has little time to process will i lose my job for not obeying a script. Asking a question like that is very controversial but is not threatening lives.

I think we just need someone to step into that #2 role and we should be fine for this round. Who that'll be though, if it even happens, idk. Hopefully Love's hand isn't broken since we're already slim in the frontcourt.
Truly hope Lebron stays so we can get the chance to see this team under a different coach

You must not be familiar with how media works. Players are obligated to appear and reporters are obligated to ask questions. Sideline reports do not makeup their own content.

Oh I still think we'll get to the finals...just might be a war to get there..

Also part of me thinks we're watching one of LeBron's last prime years and well...we kept the Nets pick.

I know in the long run its the right move. However, if Steph is truly hurt, Harden continues choking, etc...I'm going to be pissed we didn't go all in on this season.

Before the playoffs started I was 100 percent that we would make the finals... I’m really honestly 50/50 now.. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got upset any round.. lebron is obviously gonna have to avg 40-50 to make it to the finals with these teammates and coach.. and I’m not sure if he can do that at this age and time of his career in the playoffs.. but will see.. hopefully he or they prove me wrong.

20 and 15 is expecting too much, but I see no reason why he can't consistently give us 20 and 10 as the second option. He has to step up big time if we're gonna make another finals, and he's been disappointing so far.

LeBron will stay. Is he really chasing rings at his age, no. He will sign another short contract so Cleveland can get another Star.

I hope your right.. I can’t see him staying if we get upset in one of these rounds before the finals. Not unless we get Kawhi or some other superstar from trading a package including the pick.

This might be one of the most unimpressive playoff victories ever but at times we did play better defense. The thing that sucks right now is even if we didn't trade Kyrie he would've missed the season due to brat surgery or he would've needed surgery anyway from Lue running him into the ground so it just doesn't feel like a deep playoff run was in the cards regardless of personnel this year.

Regarding the post game question about Pop's wife, as a person in media I understand you have to ask for reactions but I kind of wish they wouldn't ask players that while they're still on the court like that. I'm not sure when the right time to ask about that is but that is a lot to drop on a person right after the game when they're still on the court.

Shaq was an inside only guy, who couldn't shoot free throws. Love can easily shoot 3 pointers while also grabbing 3 or 4 rebs a quarter.
