Sacramento Kings

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Sacramento Kings ROAD-TO-THE-PLAYOFFS watch!

I would have shown some taste and said "struggling rebuilding team that came off a bad season". How hard is that?

Did you pay money for league pass to watch some of the games?

Re: Sacramento Kings ROAD-TO-THE-PLAYOFFS watch!

Looks like the Kings are going to sign Chuck Hayes

Re: Sacramento Kings ROAD-TO-THE-PLAYOFFS watch!

The Queens got a lot of talent. They also have a lot of retards on that team. Lets hope the talent wins out......

Great signing. Especially on a team full of guys that want to shoot. Gives them post defense/rebounding.

Re: Sacramento Kings ROAD-TO-THE-PLAYOFFS watch!

This should help illustrate how bad everyone expects the Kings to be:

Odds to win the NBA finals:

Cleveland 100/1
Sacramento 100/1

Given the Cavs are going to be playing in the better conference this season, well.....

If you were assembling a woman with Sacramento's pieces, the Kings currently have 3 left breasts, 2 right arms, 2 right legs and about half a brain.

If you're trying to build Frankenstein, you're off to a good start. If you're trying to get on the cover of Sports Illustrated? Not so much.

7 of this teams' 8 rotational players are going to be comprised of guys who A.) want to shoot, B.) don't want to pass and C.) don't want to play defense.

Can't wait to count on this collection of stiffs to miraculously procure a draft pick for us.

If I were Grant, I'd shop the pick for a late 1st rounder (if a contender with a full roster would listen). That conditional isn't getting cashed in any time soon in my opinion.

Let's see half a season first.

Re: Sacramento Kings ROAD-TO-THE-PLAYOFFS watch!

Looking at the teams on the west as it is now - I definitely see them battling with the Warriors and the Clippers for the 8th seed, possibly even 7th. This is a new western conference - and like someone mentioned in here already - the Kings are going all in this year.

They have a solid squad. Reke, Cousins, Hickson, Fredette, Dalembert. If they build quick chemistry and establish a good defense - this team could easily make the playoffs. And with this season being only 66 games - that only gives a young team like the Kings the advantage.

Absolutely no defense will be played by the Kings this season ....a good defensive effort by them this season will be when they have all five players cross the timeline.

You doubt the Jimmer suddenly becoming a Gary Payton-esque defender? Why I never?!?

Re: Sacramento Kings ROAD-TO-THE-PLAYOFFS watch!

With Paul leaving the Hornets, and 2/3 of the teams he is rumoured to being in the East I see no reason to believe that the West is going to have 8 playoff worthy teams that do not include Sac. Minni sucks, the Warriors are a real ?, Portland is going to amnesty Roy, the Spurs are a year older and more fragile, plus they are amnestying RJ apparently, Dallas is being cheap in the hopes of signing a star, and Denver is missing a star, as is Utah and soon to be NOH as well. That is about 6 teams that I personally see as non playoff teams, and two others that I believe will be much worse this year due to the compacted schedule and roster moves. That really just leaves Pheonix who may smarten up and trade Nash before he leaves for nothing as the only team that Sac has to beat to make the playoffs. Sac may make the playoffs this year basically by default.

Re: Sacramento Kings ROAD-TO-THE-PLAYOFFS watch!

Just a thought.. aren't the Kings in a good position to acquire both Paul and Howard?

Tyreke, JJ, filler/draft pick for CP3
Cousins, Jimmer, filler for D12

This is my desperate attempt to get the Kings to the playoffs.

CP3
Thornton
Salmons
Thompson
Dwight

Re: Sacramento Kings ROAD-TO-THE-PLAYOFFS watch!

20 million for four years for Chuck Hayes. Not sure they needed to go that far to pry him from Houston. A nice addition though. He is the anti Hickson.

Re: Sacramento Kings ROAD-TO-THE-PLAYOFFS watch!

I don't think they will be as bad as many on this board are projecting, but jury is out until we see 20 games at least. I personally think jammer has the leadership skills to pull a team together, but I don't have much confidence in Sactowns organization. We'll just have to wait and see.

Re: Sacramento Kings ROAD-TO-THE-PLAYOFFS watch!

When I think of possible Kings needs I immediately think 6'6 back up Center.

(Insert Street Fighter movie Bison "Of Course!!" meme here)

If Denver, the Mavs, and the Spurs don't make the playoffs, I will post a video of myself eating an entire Gore-tex winter coat. Portland and the Jazz both still have quite a bit of talent.
