SI's story here it is...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well, looks like Rob Rose got his name in print for the first time since the Army All Star game.

Tressel should be given an award if only 3 out of 100+ young adult males were smoking pot. Good job Tress!

the problem for Ohio State isn't that they were smoking pot, but that they were trading OSU memorabilia for the pot. And the larger problem than the tatoos and pot are the allegations of cars and work free jobs. Ohio State needs Tressell take the fall for all of this.

I agree with those that said this sort of stuff likely goes on everywhere, but it's ohio state that got caught and the NCAA likes to set examples when schools are caught.

not exactly the brightest candle in the box, is he?

Not sure it's as much stupidity as arrogance. It think it's more of a "fuck you" to everyone. He thinks he's invincible and close to getting his millions so he really doesnt give a damn anymore.

It's an insult to comedians to call that SI story a joke. Every coach in college football and men's/women's hoops is willfully ignorant

Guys, take off the homer glasses for one moment. While this story does lack credible testimonies, it is pretty damning evidence, even if partially true.

Im no lawyer, but here's my two cents:

Here's the problem the NCAA is going to have: its a bunch of he said, she said jargon. Unless this "Ellis" testifies on the record, which he didnt, and if the allegations prove to be true, im not sure what the NCAA can really do. they have already suspended these guys for 5 games. If I'm betting, i would predict you guys lose the 5 players for the season, lose 1-3 years of bowl eligibility, and thats it. But thats only if this shit cannot be confirmed but credible named sources

Why would there be a huge investigative article without the "named credible sources" if they really had some? Sounds like they got some crap from some dudes in the slammer, as someone else said... and most of this sounds like damning information to Tressel. I ask again, where is the stuff about the compliance department covering shit up too? I see none of that. This isn't about homer glasses. Even people who were salivating at the thought of this article and the impending doom of OSU's football program are extremely disappointed in its content. That is very telling.

Regardless of my own personal feelings towards this, i believe Osu is going to be made an example of. And while its bullshit and a witch hunt, its going to happen. I predict 2 year bowl suspension, 30 scolarships lost, and the five dickholes get booted from the team. Jmo

Unless they come up with a new official letters of allegations citing lack of institutional control, then this will not be the punishment.

fourth round picks don't make millions tho

Lol, how is this not a lack of institutional control? At the very least, Gee and Smith should be fired for allowing this crap to go on without them knowing. And im of the belief that there is no way in hell they didnt know.

So they either helped cover it up or were negligent and incompetent at their job, allowing this shit to go on. Leagally, i have no idea what that article means. Like i said, im not a fucking lawyer. Im just making a prediction.

I'd say loss of scholarships and a 2 year postseason ban is probably what will happen. be surprised if much worse than that comes out of this.

Why should Ohio State be on the same level as USC...?
