Kendrick Perkins - Canton's Enforcer

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wouldn't call Perkins one of his guys. They've pretty much only ever hated each other in the past.

LeBron personally recruited Perkins. He is one of LeBron's guys.

He's been on the team for one week. After playing with another organization for 4-5 years. It takes some time to learn the plays and schemes on defense. I don't expect him to look great or anything but I think it's only fair to give him another 3-5 games before deeming him as useless.

Perkins is only useful for some match ups in the NBA washington, chicago, memphis, teams with a traditional big that likes to bang. Everything else hes just going to be a eyesore offensively and 6 fouls on defense

If we play Memphis or San Antonio in the finals, he'll be extremely helpful. Also backup minutes against Jonas in the 2nd round.

I beg to differ on him only being useful in certain situations. He was a regular rotationial player for the Thunder, yea he lost his starting spot but he was still netting minutes. He should see time with us every game whether it's 5 minutes or 15 minutes. He had like one touch for us and he turned it into a hoop. Him and TT is just a bad pair. I want Perk and Kev on the floor when Perk does play. He 'll play a more useful role.

In a game like the Houston game when Mozgov only plays 18 minutes and isn't in foul trouble, there is no reason to play Perk. Even if Mozgov had played 25-30 minutes, there would have been no need for him. Tristan gives the team a lot more as the backup center against teams that aren't using a conventional center, or arguably even teams that are using only one conventional center, unless Moz gets into foul trouble.

I just don't think Perk is of much value against a lot of teams so long as everyone is healthy. That's why I thought it might be a good idea to find a hybrid PF/C who could play in more situations (like KG or Plumlee), but that type of player/trade wasn't available.

Perk was getting too many minutes for years in OKC. Finally, last year they found another center who could play in Steven Adams and gradually his minutes came down.

I see where you're coming from but my perspective still stands with me. If Perk would of played 5 minutes that game he would of brusied somebody, particular Harden or Beverly. When a team signs a guy like Perkins you find time to play him. We can't have 2 Brendan Haywoods when we really needed a PG. He's still the best screen setter we have. He's a useful player every game he'll make at least one good basketball play and some bad ones but you take his good with the bad, especially in limited minutes.

He's best paired with Kyrie and Love. He'll set mammoth screens for Kyrie which will stand out on TV but not the box score. And he'll bang with Love down low and won't put up with anybody's shit. Perk has a good IQ just not a good offensive skillset. We have to maximize him because he will be a good role player come playoffs.

Five letters that make sweet love next to Kendrick Perkins' name.

With that logic the Cavs essentially punted another roster spot instead of upgrading a bigger need at the PG spot. So all in all we made a bad basketball decision because we added a guy that is best for a DNP - CD.

I wholeheartedly disagree.

I wish the truth didn't offend you so much. Yes, we wasted another roster spot on a center that can't help.

I can't say this is surprising...

WHAT ??

Intangibles can be unlocked from the bench; in fact they only need to be present in the locker room.

We've already clinched the intangibles title. Now, we are primed to make a run on the Larry O'Brien.

Hopefully Perk can have an impact against the Raptors. Good to have him against teams like that.

That seriously is a great photo and caption. Too bad the front page is out of commission, because that would be a great thing to put up there.
