one of my favorite characters.... bah... i did read he was suppose to be taken out in the first season but Sutter liked the character to much and kept him on for 4 seasons. Have i mentioned how much I have never liked Gemma...cunt..

*SPOILERS for most recent episode*
I did get the sense that the writers didn't really know what to do with him lately. There was also a sense that the main characters were completely invincible too. So I guess that took care of that.
As much as I hated to see him go, it was really good for the show and I can't WAIT to see where it goes from here.

Great Great episode. One of the best if you ask me.
Jax is about to match his level of smarts/instincts with his level of ruthlessness. That guard knows he's as good as dead. That shit was truly badass. He said that shit so calm like it was fact(it was). Woke a goddamn sleeping giant.
OP was a beast and im sad to see him go. They really fucked his family over in this show. Wife killed by his own club. Kids with no mom, while a porn (non) star fills in. Porn girl goes away. OPs dad (original member) killed once again by own club. Then OP dies because loose trigger runs down the niners because he's butt hurt over his girlfriend Clay. samcro fucked Opie raw with no vaseline repeatedly. Oh and kids left with porn girl and grandma. Kids: "fml"
Why is Gemma still choking bitches and why hasn't she had another heart attack by now.

Opie was the personification of bad things happening to good people at heart.
He was born into the club, became a part of it. Found a family which may have been his saving grace but it was the club that took it away from him.
His father was taken away from him.
His freedom (pre-show), and his relationship with his children was taken from him because of that.
His ability to trust was taken away, but his undying loyalty remained and it ended up costing him his life as well.
I thought it spoke about truth pretty well, the good guy does die sometimes......but man, am I going to miss that dude on the show. Probably was my favorite character, you just had to root for that guy.
With that said, that scene was epic....I have to admit I was pretty numb after the episode.

The twist they took was damn good writing. The fact that so many people at least on facebook are so outraged means they didn't see it coming. I actually told my wife when Jax was explaining everything to Op, that Opie would wind up volunteering some how. The head butt was just that, the smile on his face before that killing blow said it all.
Trig killing Pope's daughter didn't cause Opie to die btw ( i mean it got the ball rolling but not the direct cause) , that part you got wrong Tlyons. The dead son in prison was for the dead niner and cop that Trig killed after they burned his daughter in front of him. Pope even said as much in the wardens office.
Just as I thought Clay was just going to be a silent member for the most part, he goes and calls the cops on the whore house starting a beef with the mexicans. The twists have been very solid this season, can not wait for next week.
