SUGAR BOWL: OSU vs. ARKANSAS

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A WIN IS A WIN AND I DONT CARE HOW WE GOT IT

Best bowl game yet.

Please don't bitch about this win. Some of you make me sick.

This is all that matters! Don't care about the details!!

That wasn't even a fucking safety.

Christ, why do I even check the CFB portion of RCF?

Haywerd's domination of this game reminded me of Suh last year.

Pretty stoked we pulled this out despite the terrible safety call.

Also, pretty big of Pryor to look right in the camera and apologize to "Buckeye Nation".

Yes it was. It was totally unscripted and off the cuff. That's what I wanted to hear from him. He said "I apologize" twice in those comments.

3-16 in the second half. We were two different teams tonight.

The Defense was outstanding , even with the injuries they kept after it!!! good win no matter how it ended . Go BUCKEYES

I would have more respect for Tressel... if he looked in the camera and said... "that was one lucky win wasn't it?"

Why would he? Arkansas got back into the game on a questionable safety call and a blocked punt...OSU responded with a huge interception. Ohio State played their asses off tonight and deserved to win. They got lucky at times, but so did Arkansas. OSU deserved the win, and Tressel handled the post-game perfectly.

Some people are telling me that was a safety.

Can someone educate me? I guess my football knowledge is not up to par. I thought a runner gets forward progress when he is pushed backwards?

The refs missed it plain and simple. Im sure they will get an apology on that. If that was the case you would see everyone doing what they did. Just push the ball carrier back into the end zone and let go. There would be nothing the runner could do.

It shouldn't have been a safety IMO.

I believe the refs may have thought the RB started going forward again and that is why they called it a safety.

Example: If a WR catches a ball at the 50 and is then shoved back to the 45, but regains control and runs forward 3 yards to the 48 yard line, the ball will be placed at the 48 yard line instead of the 50.

I do not remember how the play exactly happened, but maybe it happened like this or the refs believe it did.

No kidding. OSU did what it had to do it. Just enjoy it and have a few beers after (and during ) the game like I did.

:)

Cameron was great. That was it. There is nothing outstanding about watching a guy drop ball after ball. Adams dropped a SURE touchdown and probably one that would have ended up a touchdown. He catches those and you wouldn't be making this comment and because him dropping it had nothing to do with the defense, then they still played just as poorly as if he had caught them. I mean, win was great, but the defense certainly didn't play well.
